"I am sorry, but she cancelled all schedules today. No one is going inside her office for a meeting."
"I am not leaving until I get my scheduled appointment today. Miss Caldez isn't the only busy person here. We all have jobs to do."
Inayos ko rin ang skirt ko and I put my hair in a bun, leaving some hair in front.
"Ma'am, I tried to explain to him but he won't listen." nerbyos na pagpapaliwanag ni Erin.
"It's okay, Erin. Thank you for following my orders." I smiled to reassure her.
"You, my office." sabi ko at tinalikuran na sya so I can sit in my red velvet swivel chair.
"Ma'am– I am sorry I-"
"How long have you been the office head of the logistics department?" I cut him off.
"2 months ma'am." he answered.
"And you're one of those hardworking people who also has the value of believing that time shouldn't be wasted, is that correct?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Good. That's good."
He looked relieved.
"But, you are nowhere near good today." minatahan ko s'ya
"You are on top of your department, indeed. Pero, you're far away from my position, and trust me, I was given the right to schedule my own appointments because I give reasonable timing to my decisions. Wala kang karapatang pangunahan yon or kuwestiyunin yon dahil unang-una, you cannot understand my power dahil kayang-kaya kitang palitan ngayon palang. I am way ahead of you, capiche? Now show me the report."
He gave me a folder containing several journals, sheets and logbooks ng gastos ng team. Tinapon ko ito pabalik sa kanya.
"You have a day to fix that. And if hindi ka makakabalik dito at this hour, you can kiss your office goodbye."
"But ma'am –"
"Gusto mong isa-isahin ko pa yung ninakaw nyo sa office funds?" matalim kong tingin sa kanya.
"I will report back tomorrow, ma'am." at dali-dali na syang umalis.
"Didn't I tell you not to send anyone in my office today?" I asked her.
"but ma'am he's –"
"I don't care, my office is closed today."
"Baby, I am your boyfriend."
"Then do me a favor, and get the fuck out."
"What–why?"
He tried to hug me pero lumayo lang ako sa kanya.
"Terrie–"
"PRESIDENT Caldez. You're in my office. Get out."
"I am sorry, Adi, pero she's not really in the mood today." paliwanag ni Erin pagkapasok nya. I sat on my chair at pinaikot ito so I wouldn't see him walk out of my office. A tear escaped my eye.
Stop lying to me, Adi.
