"Have you packed everything?" Eomma asked rechecking my suitcase to see if I missed anything,

"Yes," I answered, glancing at her I notice her beautiful rose-pale face have a faraway look and her brows furrowed in concentration no doubt thinking about the most outrageous things that could happen if I went. Moving towards her, I waved my hand in front of her face to get her attention, she didn't even blink, lost in her trance, sighing I snap my fingers at her, only then she notices me close to her, wringing her hands together, a habit she always did when she's worried about something I step ahead and wrap her in a tight comforting hug, leaning her head on my shoulder Eomma sighs heavily relishing in my warmth as if I will be gone forever,

Chuckling lightly I say "It's gonna be ok Eomma I will be ok, besides I will stay with Gong-Joo Emo, and Jan-di will keep me company at school there is nothing to worry about, "I know but I'm more worried about them I don't know what they were planning, deciding to send you to such a high-class school" Eomma replied sighing again,

"Eomma, it might not be that bad who knows I might attract a handsome young chaebol heir and get married to him," I say jokingly to lighten the mood.

"If you do, ask him if he has a younger sibling so that I can date him," says Yoon Eun-Sang, my younger sister.

"No, I don't think I want to live in the same house as you after I'm married" I reply back with a chuckle.

"Your so mean!" Eun-Sang exclaimed with a pout while I just laughed it off.

Eomma stares at us with a horrified expression on her face "So-hee! Eun-sang! You must not joke about something like that, remember Rich men are never to be trusted." she warned coldly.

Sighing heavily at the bitterness of her voice I shake my head.

Giving my family a final hug and goodbye kiss on the forehead I slide my laptop bag over my shoulder, grab hold of my suitcase and head out the door towards the huge red car standing in front of our small humble house, taking the suitcase from my hands the driver places it in the trunk then goes to sit in his car waiting for me to come and sit-in, glancing back at my mother and sister I flash them a quick smile and wave, giving them a thumbs up as I sit-in the car anxiously ready for my new life ahead.

Looking through the rearview mirror at the driver's face I ask "How long is the way from here to Seoul?"

"8 hours" the driver answers looking back at me through the rearview mirror.

Nodding I look at the time (7:00 am) sighing I pull my earphones out of my bag plug them into my phone and start playing some music.

Looking out the window I replay back to my conversation with Eomma,

Her bitterness towards rich men was understandable it was because of a betrayal caused by the one she trusted more than herself. Someone who still holds a special place in her heart even with all the resentment and hate that they have left behind. Someone she had met before she met our father and still hasn't forgotten. Someone I've only heard her mention a few times and whom I only know to belong to a wealthy family.

When I look at my mother and the things she has gone through I feel proud of her how she managed this all on her own taking care of the house, me and my sister, teaching the kids at school, and paying debts, every day working hard for the sake of us just so we could pass every day without any worries, now I hope to make her free to release her from this cage of debt we are in, that was the reason I was going to Seoul in the first place to study hard and earn enough money to pay off our debts so we could live a free life.

Author's note:

Hello wonderful readers, the first chapter of The Boy Over Sunflower is released, hope you liked it :)

This was sort of a filler chapter for Yoon So-hee since you need to get to know her first, obviously

And please don't be a silent reader comment, vote, and share!

Constructive criticism is welcome too.

Also, some of you may think there are a lot of typos but there not typos keep in mind the characters in my story are speaking Korean so English words are pronounced a bit differently hence the spellings.
