I have heard a lot about Abroad. The US specifically... Can you imagine my surprise when my mom told my sister and I one evening that she has been transferred to the US to work?!

My name is Ijeoma, and yes, I'm African. Nigerian specifically. I have always heard stories of how America is. I have watched a lot of foreign movies as well, so when my mom informed us of her transfer, my thoughts were 'Hey I've got this. It's just like in the movies. I can handle them.'
What I didn't know was that the movies exaggerate about some of the stuff there. A lot of the stuff there.
How the hell am I supposed to survive in this ridiculous place? A place where all my training and manners cannot be used?
