"mommy what movie should we watch?" yerim asked as she used the remote to go through the possibilities for their movie night. vivi was distracted as she zoned out into the tv screen, she wasn't sure if she had made the right decision leaving hyejoo and hyunjin with lucas.
it wasn't exactly a punishment. she knew that lucas wouldn't really keep them in the house, she checked the kitchen before she left and she knew exactly that they would be eating out. they would probably visit mark's bakery and what not. she was just afraid that she was wasting her limited time off that she used to spend time with her family.
of course she had set aside a few slices of pizza for the duo since pizza night was a rare occurrence in the wong household, due to vivi being a "health freak" as her baby brother would say. but she didn't want to seem a pushover either so she had to stand her ground.
"uh, mommy? hellooo~" jinsoul waved her hand in front of her mother's face rudely.
"movie?" yerim offered.
"you guys pick, mommy will watch what you guys want." vivi sat back comfortably.
"what? that's too much responsibility!" jinsoul whisper-yelled.
"cartoon or not cartoon?" yerim asked her sisters as she continued to use the remote.
"how about lilo and stitch?"
"alien scary."
"toy story?"
"talking toys scary."
"frozen?"
"yeah!"
"babies, not to be rude but—— again?" vivi decided to intercept. "how many times have we watched frozen?"
"a gazillion." chaewon said, not seeming to have a problem.
"exactly so let's pick something we haven't watched!" vivi tried to get them excited.
"let's watch a scary movie! i'm tired of watching baby stuff with these two." jinsoul exclaimed.
"i still wanna watch cartoons.." yerim whined.
"i like frozen..." chaewon pouted.
"how about..." vivi began a proposal. "we play a game and whoever wins gets to pick the movie? like rock paper scissors?"
"okay!" the girls chorused.
the first round, vivi was out immediately. she wasn't really good at games of chance so she let the girls decide for herself, silently hoping yerim would win. a cartoon was a good choice since horror movies would probably scar chaewon and she was sick of frozen. the mom checked her phone and checked out of the room to make a call.
