BACKSTORY
Straight-A student throughout her academic years, until a month ago; Rebecca's grades started wavering as did her mental health. A week prior to her first "freak-out" (panic attack), she met this man at her school - introduced himself as Alex. No middle or last name was given, but she assumed that no stranger would do that from the get-go (since she wouldn't either). He offered her a position on his student film, no charge, no payment either - Becca [her nickname] seemed okay with the situation and took up his offer.
The student film Alex directed was meant to be aimed for an audience who would be captivated by the idea of friendships and romance. It all fell apart two weeks after that when Alex quit and fired everyone, she obviously felt bad for them because it would probably be their first and last time being part of a film. So Rebecca shrugged the idea off, not thinking much of it.
That was up until she got a phone call from someone who she could barely remember - a boy who claims his name to be Jay. He was digging through the old tapes, trying to find out why Alex would give up on a project so early. She interrogated him, Jay asked her to come by to see if she saw anything strange about it too. Reluctantly Rebecca agreed to it, thinking it was just a prank - for both of them to laugh about; he seemed wrong at the time being, when they watched through it together.
