Chapter Ten 💖

"Miss Hayes in my office now!" Mr jerk face orders as he heads to his office. It's Monday morning ,where I came in earlier than any other day in order to avoid my boss. I had everything he requires today set, his schedule for the day, which I had written down was also there. Not knowing what I had done wrong, I walked quickly to his office.

"Yes sir, you called" I said as soon as I entered his office. He didn't answer me immediately, he looked at me as if he was trying to analyze me, which was so uncomfortable. That made me loudly clear my throat to bring him back to reality.

"Are you okay? " He asked me with a calmer tone which surprised me. I nodded without knowing what to answer. He shook his head as if trying to  disagree with his inner mind. I smile at his actions. As if he's noticed it, he looks at me again.

"Can you get me my coffee please? "WTF is happening to Hunter today he's so kind. Dear God please let this Hunter stay.

"I said get me my coffee woman! "ladies and gentlemen the famous Hunter is back.

"Okay sir "

One thing about him is that he loves his coffee more than anything else. As I walk back to his office, thoughts run through my mind about his behavior earlier as if he cared. Wait does he care?   Why hasn't he asked anything about the kids yet since anyone can see the resemblance between him and Xander.

"Anything else sir? "

"You can leave ."He says "Ooh and that dress makes your ass look cute "he smirks at my confused face as I hurriedly leave. This jerk.

My day runs smoothly with Hunter mainly in his office. I had lunch with Adelle which went on smoothly, her mainly talking about how Hunter is unaffected by his failed wedding and how happier he looks.

It's three when I'm through with my daily work. Today I need to pick up the kids from Jake's earlier since they're leaving to go and see mom back home. To do that, I need to ask for permission from the boss himself. I'm standing at his door contemplating on whether to knock or not when the doors suddenly opens making me shriek , since my lovely body loves the floor so much, I'm about to say hi to my best friend when strong hands stop my journey, it's so sad see you best friend another time.

"Are you okay Ari? "Hunter asks me as he helps me to my feet.

"Yes I  am, thank you sir "I say avoiding looking at his handsome face.

"You can come in now " I walk in as he follows behind checking out my perfect ass. Not to brag but I have a great ass and a great body. "What did you need Miss Hayes?"

"Mhh yes about that, can I leave early today "

"If I may ask, what's the reason? "

"I need to pick up my kids since Jake and Justin are going somewhere. "As I say that, I hear something sounding like our kids which I proudly ignore.

"It's okay, anything for our kids "he says the first part louder than the last part which is somehow muffled.

"Thank you sir, have a good evening "

"You too Miss Hayes, and say hi to the kids for me. " he says as if it's the most casual thing one can say. I nod and leave to go and see my munchkins.
