she also cannot cook to save her life

mahiru helped hiyoko learn to make decisions on her own and learn to do things for herself
as hiyoko showed to be more dependent on mahiru for stability, she helped mahiru realize her self worth
she also helped raise mahirus self esteem with constant compliments (as well as insults that are counted as compliments)
hiyoko praises her work and photographs and how theyre their own piece of art (as mahiru consistently compared her works to her mothers)
they both helped each other mentally!!!
