Yoongi and Jimin had just exited the taxi laughing after arriving at the apartment. "How in the hell did you think there was 100 seconds in a minute?" said Yoongi almost crying from laughter. "It was confusing to me, I always got currency and time confused" said Jimin embarrassed. The two boys walked into the apartment and headed for the elevator before they read a sign that said;
"Out Of Order"
"Fuck sake" said Jimin annoyed. "Stairs it is I suppose" said Yoongi.
The two boys headed for the stairs before Yoongi turned around and said;
"Last one up the stairs is a rotten egg"
Yoongi and Jimim both raced up the flights of stairs. Yoongi seeming to have the lead before Jimin started skipping every few steps leaving Yoongi far behind him. Jimin had reached his floor and started laughing at Yoongi who was fully out of breath.
"Didn't think I would win did you?" said Jimin laughing at Yoongi as he had just gotten to the floor Jimins apartment was on.
"I need- I need a glass of water or something" said Yoongi panting. Jimin just laughed at his struggles before inviting him inside for a drink.
Jimin and Yoongi entered his apartment, switching on the hot tub while Yoongi got himself and Jimin a glass of water. "How are you not out of breath?" said Yoongi confused. "Well, I done track and dancing back in the day so I guess I just have a lot of stamina from that" said Jimin shrugging his shoulders.

The two boys chatted for awhile before putting on a pair of swimming togs and entering the hot tub.
"I wish I had a place like this" said Yoongi jealously. "I mean, you can come over anytime you want" said Jimin. He didn't know how Yoongi would react to what he said but he was thankful that Yoongi had said it was his pleasure.
"So Yoongi, tell me a bit about yourself, you didn't speak much at dinner".
"Well, I was raised in New York until I was 20 when my parents decided to move to Canada. I mean, I was invited to go there with them, but seeing as life here is great and I have great friends, I decided to stay."
"Do you miss your parents?" said Jimin, hoping the question wouldn't upset Yoongi.
"I mean, I still talk to them, but I do miss their company. I mean, my friends are great company of course, but there are some things I can't share with them, seeing as they might see me differently".
Jimin didn't know what he meant by this.
"See me differently?" thought Jimin.
As Jimin was about to speak, Yoongi asked him about himself.
"What about you, how come you decided to move here?"
Jimin was scared to tell him the truth, seeing as his past was dark and he didn't want Yoongi to be uncomfortable.
"It's always been my dream to live in New York. Some of the most successful people have came from New York, and I guess I just want to follow in their path".
Jimin hadn't told anyone the truth on why he moved. He didn't even like to think about it himself. If the truth got out, he would never allow himself to be seen again. In reality, he would probably move again.
"Jimin..?"
Jimin hadn't noticed Yoongi talking to him while he was lost in his thoughts.
"Sorry, I was lost in my mind as usual" said Jimin hoping Yoongi would repeat himself.
"I asked what is it you do for a living" said Yoongi while chuckling.
"Well, I've always wanted to be an actor. I thought it would always be cool to be seen by the world in movies and series. What about you?"
"Well, I'm an author. I've been writing since I came to New York".
Jimin did not expect Yoongi to be a writer. He didn't have that vibe, he seemed more upbeat and a party animal rather than someone who writes books.
"What type of stories do you write?" asked Jimin curiously.
"Well, my favourite genre of stories to write is romance, but I've never tried to get one published. The only stories I've attempted to get published are usually crime or action".
Not only did Jimin not expect him to be a writer, he did not expect his favourite genre to be romance.
The two boys stayed in Jimins apartment for a few hours before Yoongi had to leave.
"Well Jimin, for someone who I had just met, you're a really fun guy".
Jimin blushed at that sentence.
"Well Yoongi, you bored the crap out of me"
Yoongi just laughed at his response and gathered his things before leaving. "I'll see you soon Jimin" said Yoongi as he closed the door.
"Fuck, what a man" said Jimin under his breath before heading to the bathroom.
Before he went to bed, he had a quick shower and brushed his teeth. He was looking in the mirror while brushing his teeth and couldn't help but notice his scars.
~Flashback~
Jimin and his ex-boyfriend had just moved in together and things seemed to be going well. They were happy. So Jimin thought. Until one day, his ex-boyfriend came home drunk, very drunk. Jimin hated him being drunk, he was... scary.
"Jimin, where the fuck are you" screamed the man.
Jimin locked the his bedroom door hoping his ex would just pass out on the couch. Until there was a loud bang on the door. Knowing the door was locked, he started kicking the door down. Until finally, the door caved in. Jimin was hiding behind the bed helplessly before his ex came over and grabbed him. "Stop, you're hurting me!" cried Jimin. His ex-boyfriend didn't care.
~End of flashback~
Jimin hadn't noticed tears coming from his eyes while remembering the dark times of his life. He washed his face and went to bed.
"Tomorrow is the start of my new life" thought Jimin while drifting to sleep slowly.
