IT HAD BEEN a few weeks? Months? She wasn't quite sure as it all passed in a blur.

Since then, Edward had grown fond of the human, Bella and even went as far as letting her find out about vampires and inviting her into their home which Rosalie wasn't impressed about and Selina left the house while she was there.

Selina had grown even more distant from the Cullens but she didn't feel alone, she felt something coming, something important and if she had to not kill Bella to find out what it was then, so be it.

On that day, Edward invited Bella to play baseball with them and to say Selina was displeased would be an understatement, she couldn't help the thoughts of draining her of all her blood just to spite Edward. Not only would that break the treaty they had with the wolves but it probably wouldn't taste all that good if she was honest with herself.

Edward growled at her thoughts but Selina growled louder, surprising their family as males were usually able to make females submit, family or not.

"I'm not your bitch Edward and if you don't like my thoughts, Stay. Out. My. Head" she spelt it out for him and he clenched his jaw and held Bella closer to him who had been staring at her with wide eyes and Selina could hear her rapid heartbeat, making her smirk.

When they arrived at their usual field, the thunderstorm had just started and everyone looked excited except Rosalie who disliked the humans presence almost as much as Selina did.

Esme walked towards Bella as they got out the car and wrapped an arm around her.

"I'm glad you're here, we need an umpire" she said.

"She thinks we cheat"

"Oh, I know you cheat" she smiled at Bella.

"Call em as you see em Bella" she said gently and stepped away as Bella mumbled an 'okay'.

Rosalie got ready to swing first and Alice did her usual weird moves as she threw the ball but at this point, Selina had sat on the floor and started picking at the grass, ignoring all the action around her.

She only lifted her head up as Alice shouted to them all in a tone that meant she'd seen something.

"Stop!" Was the only thing she said, but it was enough to make Selina stand up and pay attention to what was going on once more.

They all gathered around Bella but Selina stood off to the side and looked in the direction of the noise.

"They were leaving, then they heard us" Alice explained and Edward tried to get Bella away from the field but as Carlisle said it was too late he froze and told her to put her hair down.

"Like that'll help, I can smell her from across the field" Rosalie scoffed and Selina mumbled in agreement as Edward glared at her.

Three vampires emerged from the mist and Selina gasped as she took sight of the two either side of the one in the middle.
