A/N I know this story is a little half-baked with the dialogue portion, but I wrote one half like four months ago and the other half today. SOO don't judge too harshly :))

Peter copied down the last chemical equation on the board. He started slowly packing up his notebook and pencils while the rest of the class finished.

"If you are on the Decathlon team please remember we have a meeting in the library today after school." Mr. Harington announced. Those on the team nodded and continued writing down the equation. After about a minute more, the bell rang. Peter and Ned stood up and grabbed their bags.

"I wonder what the meeting is about." Ned said aloud.

"Probably just some treats for getting first place in D.C." Peter said. Ned nodded and they made their way to the library.

They were one of the first people to arrive, so they set their stuff down at a table towards the back and sat down. After a couple more minutes of waiting for the rest of the team to show up, Mr. Harrington stood in front of the students.

"As you know, we placed first in our decathlon competition. As a treat, I was looking into a fun and educational field trip for us to take..." Mr Harrington started to ramble and Peter lost interest. He looked towards the window wondering what the Avengers would be making for dinner. He was hoping Bucky would make lasagna. His mom's recipe hit different. Ned started smacking Peter's arm in excitement.

"Ouch Ned." Peter said while rubbing his arm.

"Dude, how awkward is this gonna be for you?" Ned said with a big smile.

"What are you talking about, Ned?" Peter asked, still rubbing his arm.

"We're visiting the Avengers Compound, y'know, where you live."

Peter's eyes just about popped out of his head.

"You really need to pay more attention. Harrington said that Pepper reached out and offered to give the Decathlon team a tour of the Compound. He specifically said it was all thanks to you and your internship."

Peter's breath hitched. He would really need to talk to Pepper about this. Now he would have to face Flash's insults about lying even more. The only outward reaction Peter could manage was a "Gahhhh!"

"Okay all, you are now dismissed. Make sure to grab a permission slip on your way out. It's due the day of the field trip, Friday the 13th. " Mr Harrington said loudly, while being shushed by the librarian.

Everyone bustled around, trying to get home.

"How'd you manage to get this trip, Penis? Who'd you have to suck off?" Flash asked accusingly.

"I don't know how many times I'm gonna have to tell you I have an internship with Mr. Stark."

"Whatever, Penis. I'm sure if I was as desperate as you for attention I'd find a way to fake an internship too." Flash grumbled and walked away.

"Just ignore him, Peter. This is gonna be awesome. You finally get to prove everyone wrong." Peter tried to muster and a smile and nodded.

Ned walked out and left Peter to gather the last of his stuff.

"Mr Parker, if I might, I know that Stark Industries does not allow high school interns. So however you got this field trip, I appreciate it but lying never got anyone anywhere." He patted him on the back and walked away.

Peter was taken aback. Pepper literally said Peter's internship was the reason for this trip and they still didn't believe him. He didn't know what it would take for people to finally believe him. It would honestly take a miracle at this point.
