It's the first of many meetings that Allie will have with her friends this semester, as they had not seen each other in months. With everyone scattered across the state in different universities, it was hard to meet up during the semester.
On this bright, sunny day in the city, it was the perfect day for an outdoor restaurant experience. The sky was crystal clear with not a single cloud in the sky, making it the perfect beach day if she had brought along her swimsuit.
"Hey Allie, can I ask you a question?" asked Jessica, her best friend since middle school.
"Yey, what is it?" Allie asked, scarred because the last time Jessica asked her a question, she ended up fighting Jessica's boyfriend over a simple misunderstanding.
"I was wondering if you would like to come with me to Disney and have a girls trip next weekend." Jessica asked to Allie, hoping she would say yes.
"I've talked to Kat and she said she was free next weekend, since I knew we couldn't leave her out of the trip." Jessica added on before Allie could give her an answer.
Allie had plans to start her bedroom renovation but she could hold that off until the week after. She knew they only had a couple more years together before they really drifted away from each other.
"Sure, I don't see why not. I was going to start my bedroom renovation this weekend but I can put that on hold." Allie answered as she took a sip from her cup of water.
As Allie finished taking a sip from her water, the food arrives. Allie and Jessica dive into their meals, each of them only talking every couple minutes.
After they finish and pay the bill, Allie dismisses herself for the day.
"Bye Jessica, I had a good time today."
"Me too! We'll text each other this weekends details about the Disney trip. I already offered to pay for room so you don't have to worry about it." Jessica said with a smile on her face. She could hardly wait for this weekend.
Allie and Jessica say their goodbyes and head on out. Allie has reached to her car when she gets a call from Jessica.
"Hello?"
No answer.
"Hello? Jessica?"
No answer. Jessica has hung up. Weird, Jessica never hangs up on her before.
Allie's phone rings again and this time Allie makes pact for Jessica to not hang up.
"Jessica, do not hang up! Where are you?!"
"Grab her, don't let her go."
Allie runs out of her car to go find her friend. She runs and runs around until she finds Jessica, only to be met with a shocking discovery.
