The Book of You and I

A Parting Gift

When I wake up it is only 4am. Slowly I unravel myself from Spindles arms and climb down the short lader of the bunk beds. I quicly tidy up the room and leave a clean change of cloths for Spindle in the bottom bunk for shen she wakes. I grab my spell book and a bag of random things to try and make a sort of parting gift for Spindle.

I set all of my things down at the kitchen table and get to work. I decided on a gold infinity necklace set with diamonds and a Rose quarts heart. After a whole ball of twine, 6oz of gold and god knows how many gems later I was fianly able to get my beautification spell pretty much perfect. I place the gift inside of a small brown box adorned with a simple gold ribbon.

I set aside the box and begin stress baking. I was going to ask her to stay here with me and thought this would help sway her to stay. I know she has so much more waiting at home for her but I couldnt bare to see her leave. This was my last year in the human world. I was only to be there for a little while and come back. Yes I was able to go and come as I please but that would only be posible after my training in my world.   An hour or two passes and I have made three frog shaped breads and a tin of limon popy seed muffins when a newly awoken Spindle enters the kitchen. I had just finished making her a goddie bag with one of the frog breads, a cupple muffins, some home made cheese, and a home grown apple when she mutters a soft hey.

"Good morning bun." i yawn slipping another apple in just for good measure.

Spindle gives me a nod before reaching through her bag. I move from my place behind the counter and stand next to her. "here" i say holding out the gift. 

"What is it?" she says as she takes it, carfuly unding the bow.

"Just a parting gift." I say as I watch, sudenly unsure of the gift. I wundered if i could have made it better. Used better materials. Done the spell a cupple more times to make it look better. Etc. Etc. but all my worry compleatly vanished the moment I saw her smile. 

"This is really pretty." She said with a small blush. "Where did you get this?"

"I made it, actualy. It was my most sucsessful beautification spells."

I watched as she examaned it; flipping it over in her hands and feeling the material. "What's it made out of?"

"Twine, a rose quarts shard, and gold dust."

"Wow."

"Yeah." i said with a small giggle.

"Does it have any other enhantments?"

"yeah. Natural healing abilities from the rose quarts, and a cupple other protection spells. Do.. Do you want me to help you put it on?"

She nodded and I took the necklace as she turned away from me. I carefully put the necklace arround her neck and gently slid my arm to her middle pulling her closer to me. "Don't leave." i pleaded.

"Liza" she sighed "It's for my own good." 

"I know." I whined "But you could stay here-"

"What about Rosie?" she cut me off "Or my meds?"

"We can make medication here. And... well Rosie wouldn't really be safe here but still."

"Exactly. And my grandparents need me too."

"Spindle. Please. I'm sorry." 

She turned arround and wraped her arms arround my neck. I hugged her middle and burried my face in her chest. We stay like this for a few minuets in silance.

"Fine." Spindle sighs, breaking the silance. "I'll stay."

I hugged her tightly "Thank you" i sobed "Thank you"
