"Mama! Good morning!"

"Good morning [Y/N], did you have a nice sleep?" The woman in front of me asked.

"Of course I did!" Putting a smile on my face, I answered her with my best cheery voice.

"That's good to hear, now would you be a sweetie and help me with the dishes?"

The smile she had on her face was genuine, it was so charming, genuine affection was written on her face, so why is it that she sells us to those demons?

"Okay Mama!"

"Everyone, we have good news. A lovely couple have decided to adopt Laila! And today is her last day here with us," Mama exclaimed, said girl looked so shocked to hear the unexpected news

"Congratulations!" Strings of cheers coming out of everyone's mouth.

I made a running jump and tackled Laila to the ground.

"How nice it must be! To finally have a family right?"

"Don't worry [Y/N], Someone will adopt you someday"

"I really hope so, I want to be able to go out and ride trains and see the different buildings. We can't do much here and I've already read most of the books in the library" I pouted

I love this place I really do, I love mama and the rest but I want to venture out of this place. Doesn't it excite you to see the different things outside of Grand Valley? Are there others out there like us? What is it like out there? Are there lots of buildings just like what they say in the books? But then those books were published at least 24 years ago and things might change.

"Really? You read all the books already? But you've been here for only 4 years and even I haven't read all of them and I've been here all my life!" She smiled lovingly, "You must be really smart," She pat my head, "Alright I have to go pack my stuff now, why don't you join the others with playing tag? Or do you want to help me?"

"Nope! I'll just read some of the books that I missed. See you later Laila!"

Walking into the library, I went straight to the bookshelf furthest to the entrance. I've noticed something about the books on this shelf. There were only nine of them and they all had the same author.
