Peter's POV
Dianna and I walked through the door with her arm slung around my shoulder.
"Lay her on the table." Dr. Banner instructed.
She was bandaged up and got her hands on water to help heal her lightning scar.
"Guess you didn't master lightning bending huh?" he joked.
"I tried and that's what counts." Dianna smiled, "she knows who I am though."
"Wait she knows your identity?" her dad asked.
"I should really change up my fight combos."
"I'm gonna tell Happy to get May out of town for a few days while we work things out and go from there. Just in case we need a few more days to get all of this situated. Better safe than sorry." Dr. Banner said and left the room.
"Thank you." I said.
Dianna walked out to sit by the water to heal the minor scars that we didn't take care of.
"I didn't think you were gonna come help me to be honest." Dianna admitted.
"Why would you think that?"
"Because I was so adamant on doing this alone."
"Why was that?"
"I wanted to prove to myself that I could do this on my own. I didn't need a savior."
"It's okay to let people help you you know?"
"I keep repeating to myself that I need to find my independence again, to the point where I'm annoying myself. I don't want to let these walls down. I was going to let this prove to me that I am capable of doing things on my own and that I can be independent just to have you swoop in and save me."
"Hey, it's not your fault. You didn't know what you were going up against. You didn't know how powerful or how weak the suit would be. You still went into this fight knowing that you knew nothing."
"I thought you let me have this mission because you knew there was a 50% chance that it was going to go wrong." she went back to healing herself, "that you wanted to be the one that got to say 'I told you so.'"
"You know I'd never do that." she glared at me, "okay, maybe part of me would do that. But as we both keep saying, we're a team."
"I didn't mean to sideline you or have you feel that way you know?"
"I know." we sat in silence for a bit.
Dianna's POV
flashback
"I know that with your dad being gone, you don't really know how to handle all of these new powers you got going on over there. So I'm here to help you."
"And how exactly are you going to do that without getting yourself hurt?"
"I've done some research on ancient earthbenders, firebenders, waterbenders, and airbenders. You know, the myths. I can help guide you through this. Maybe you'll learn some new tricks or something in the process." Tony said very excitedly.
"I'm scared of hurting someone. They toyed and tortured me. I'm a science experiment. Everything that's suddenly special about me? It all came from a bottle."
"Listen to me. You've always been a special person, you got that? You're not suddenly special because you have these powers. With some training, you won't be afraid of hurting anyone."
"Hydra used me to kill someone, Tony. I can't use my powers."
"Just because you're a 'science experiment' doesn't mean you can't use these powers to help better the world. Just look at your dad. He got hit with a ton of gamma rays and he's still going."
"I guess you're right."
"I've also made you a suit."
"I get a suit?"
"Well, if you're going to be on the field with me and your old man one day, you should probably conceal your identity."
"I think you're more excited about me training than I am."
present day
Peter's POV
"We're going to get her."
"And I know just where to go."
"You've figured it out?"
"I know that Skylar's also looking for revenge because Tony apparently did something to her parents. And she never forgave him because he never formally apologized, but I knew that it was something Tony had no knowledge of."
"So she's going after Pepper."
"And Morgan."
