Phana's POV:
I hate this barbaric activity. Why do these engineering students have so much free time? They do these intense tasks in the name of SOTUS. Ugh! Can't they behave like normal students and just study? Every day, at least 5 or 6 people faint during these activities. Today it went too far: 12 people fainted, and 5 got injured. Their hazer is still shouting like a maniac, ordering them to finish the task, and here we are—medical students—helping them and treating their injuries.
We're already tired with our hectic schedule, back-to-back labs, and assignments. But instead of resting in our free time, we're here, tending to these barbaric people. Last night, I was so busy completing an assignment that I barely slept. Then I had an early morning lab, back-to-back classes, and now this. I am exhausted and desperately need some rest, but I have to be here because Beam is busy with Professor Aunty, and Kit has a family emergency. So here I am, sitting alone, treating these barbaric people.
It's almost time for the tasks to end, and I doubt anyone else will come in. Since I still have 30 minutes until pack-up, I decided to take a short nap.
Ming's POV:
I don't know what's happening with my juniors today. They go through these tasks every day, and though they get tired, I've never seen them faint like this before—one after another. What's different today? My mind was swirling with worry as I walked toward the medical tent, wanting to check on the supplies and see if they'd be enough with so many dropping like flies.
But the moment I stepped inside, I forgot every single thought, every worry, and everything else around me. There he was—Phana, my Phana—asleep in the chair, looking so peaceful, as if the stress and chaos of the day hadn't touched him at all. His face was soft, his features completely relaxed. He looked so vulnerable and gentle, like he'd been carved right out of my dreams, and he was just... here, inches away from me.
I couldn't help but stare, captivated by his calm beauty, his quiet breathing, the way his hair slightly brushed his forehead. In that moment, the entire world felt like it faded away, leaving only him and the warmth that spread through my chest. I had always known I loved him, but seeing him like this, so unguarded and serene, felt like confirmation.
