"Do you think we made the news?" Steve asked while we watched Stacy flirt with some muscular dude on the street, so she could rob him.
"Well, your parents are rich as fuck." I said frowning, "So, I guess so."
Stacy was actually really good at this. She had on a nice grey cropped hoodie and shorts. She wasn't wearing a bra, and made almost no attempt to push her shirt down when the wind blew.
She was touching his shoulder and smiling. He hadn't looked away from her since they started talking. It made sense though, she's beautiful.
She rounded up the conversation with a hug ten times more intimate than it should have been. He held her ass a little and then let her go. He watched her walk away biting his lip.
"How much did he have?" I asked when she got back in.
She threw his wallet to me and started up the car.
I almost laughed when I opened it. "Ten dollars."
"Did I seriously just talk to that idiot for twenty minutes for ten dollars?" She sighed.
"You looked like you enjoyed it." Steve chimed in.
I saw her roll her eyes through the rearview.
"What where you even talking about?" I asked.
"He was just telling me I was pretty and trying to fuck me." She said as she took another turn.
I'm tired of wandering where we're going at this rate, we might be on the way to Mexico.
The car was silent for a bit until my phone rang. It was my Mom. Again.
I watched it ring until it went to voicemail.
"Sammy honey," she croaked. "Please come home, everyone's looking for you." She paused and sniffed loudly, "Even if you don't want to come back just let me know you're ok. I ho-"Stacy grabbed my phone and threw it out of the window.
"Why the fuck did you that?" I asked about to hit her across her face.
"She could be tracking us. I told you to throw that away ages ago."
I forced myself to see reason and sat down again, staring out of the window and pouting like a baby.

"Angel?" My mom called from the living room.
"Coming!" I replied running out of my room to meet her.
I tripped on the carpet and stubbed my toe on the couch. My mom bent over and helped me up.
"I told you not to run around didn't I?" She dusted me off roughly. "We have some people coming over."
"Who?" I asked tilting my head upwards.
My question was answered by a rapid knock on the door.
My mom smiled down at me, running towards the door.
As she twisted the handle, I felt my heart skip.

"Yo, wake up bro!"Steve shook me roughly. I scratched my eyes and looked around.
There was smoke everywhere and Stacy was outside with a tiny black phone to her ear.
Stranded. Again.
"What happened?" I asked as I got out of the car.
"We're out of gas." Steve replied as Stacy cut the call with whoever she was talking to.
"I think we should stay at a motel or something, there's one not too far from here."
She said pointing at a brown painted building higher up the hill we were on."And the car?"
"My sister's coming."
Oh motherfucking no.
"What?" I asked a little too loudly.
"My sister's coming! You fucking deaf?" She shouted.
I shut up instantly. She'd never raised her voice at me.
She turned and walked ahead of me and Steve.
Steve took my hand in his and pulled me forward.
