Chapter 8: Summer night

             "Yeah. They were really happy that we hired them back. We treat them like our family members. How can we forget them?"

              'Your kind heart is something I don't understand and will definitely hurt you in the future I'm telling you'

              "Said someone who also supports charities and orphanage houses around the world"

              'Oh, shut up! You were the one who forced me to. Not that I'm complaining or anything though. I love all those letters from the kids'

               "Well yeah... they're better than spending your money on that dumb game anyway"

               'Hey! PUBG isn't dumb. We play it together just last week'

               S.coups whined through the phone and that made Mina laughed so hard she almost spill the lavender tea in her hand.

              'Where are you? Home?'

              "I'm at the market near my house. You?"

              'About to go to sleep'

              "Rest a lot then. I'll call you later"

               'Um. Talk to you later'

               After hanging up, Mina observed all the new shops in the market which has grown in the past six months. There were a lot of people and a lot of eyes on Mina from the guys. While she was looking around she accidentally bumped into someone.

              "I'm so sorry. Are you alright?"

              Mina asked the guy in front of her. He was wearing a black cap and his front teeth reminded her of a rabbit. For a second, she thought she saw him smiled when he saw her face. The man shook his head and walked away.

              "I thought she doesn't like lavender tea..."

               Mina felt so familiar with the voice but when she looked back. The guy already disappeared into the crowd. Mina frowned but continued walking. She stopped when she saw a sign for Jeon Ajumma's. She couldn't help but walk into the restaurant even though she's not even hungry

               Mina ordered tteokbokki and went to the second floor of the restaurant. It wasn't lunchtime so there weren't a lot of people. Mina sat on the sofa full of dolls and as expected, the Fox doll was there with other Pororo dolls.

               She held the fox doll close to her heart as she waited for the order number to be called.

               Mina's bedroom is the same when Mina closed her eyes and walk around it but it looks a bit smaller than she remembers when she opens her eyes. There was no dust since the maids came to clean the house, so everything looks as clean as ever and Mina likes her room a lot. She feels at home... at somewhere safe and she didn't leave the room until supper.

               "The garden is still as beautiful as I remember. Have you check it out yet?"

               Mr Myoui asked and Mina shook her head. She actually forgot about the garden, her favourite place in this house apart from her room. The place where she would go everyday to smell flowers and sometimes... to see him...

               "I'll be home late tonight. Mr Choi and my other friends will need to discuss the upcoming concert. I'll speak on behalf of you so take a good rest today"
