"Stop" I was heaving, panting, sweating and catching my own breath. Just another bad dream. I looked at the digital clock on my bedside table. It read 4:17am. I attempted several times to go back to sleep but without luck, I made my way to the bathroom and rinsed off my annoyed morning face.

As the clock ran slower than when I was asleep, I rummaged my old closet trying to find something familiar until I found my black pair of nike's pro crops tights. I changed into it and ran down stairs. I made a quick 5mins warm up stretching, prepping my rustic self for a run around town.

I went out the house while everyone was still snoozing on their bed, or so I thought. The sun hasn't fully risen yet, there's still a tint of night sky around. I started to run in slow paced moving down the street connecting to the main road. I decided to run because the time means there's aperiodic to no vehicles passing by. Just like I expected, it was quite and tranquil.

I inhaled the fresh air of Wednesday morning. And begin to accelerate my speed in time. I passed by some group of bikers, I didn't try to recognize them in their trail gear. As I was, a hundred meter away someone called out, "Reese". I instantly stopped catching my breath . Then and there I looked behind to see a biker waiving at me. At distance he looked nothing but unfamiliar to my two-hundred vision. I knew it's a "he".

It took few minutes before something hit my core memory and made my heart skip a bit . My face honestly made a blushing reaction when I realized he was "Jax". I initially regretted looking back at them since they started chanting Jax's name who was making his way towards my direction. I furrowed my eyebrows annoyingly. When he was a meter away to me he shyly announced, "It's really nice seeing you again after years".

I fake a smile, "You too."

"You see, I'm having my morning run. We can saved our happy greets when we are done with our healthy conditioning" I rudely said and turned my heels away from Jax. I, again started to take slow speed. When I was sure I was safely away from them I started to accelerate my pace.

His sudden showed up after years had put myself in a state of indifference and mental shock. I was absolutely not ready to see him, not ever.

I groaned due to his unwelcome intrusions to my supposed to be happy-healthy morning run. I rolled my eyes even if he was out of sight to see how annoyed I was. Well, the eye roll was more for myself than to him.

I ran around town and went home around 8am or so. The weather was fine. The feeble heat didn't bother me at all.

"You did a jog today around town? You didn't seem to sweat at all" greeted my ever confident sarcastic cousin, Lu, while she's enjoying the toast and omelet.

I paused a little before I responded, "oh, I am wearing a dry fit Nike's pair and the weather is just so fine. Well, at least I get to jog and not turn into a pig stuffing any food from our fridge" You better not try to ruin my morning much more that it already was.

"So moody. It cannot be denied that you have excessive sensitivity and mood changes" She remarked, continue chewing the toast and never seemed to be bothered at my snide comments. I dropped our insults and poured myself a glass of cold fresh lemon juice.

"You should do meditation instead. So you can control your temper" she shouted as she left the dinning table with a plate of vegetable salad on her hand.

This woman is so bold causing vexation any time she's invading our home. The word modest and self-effacing was out of her book of character. Actually, I wondered if that bitch has a book of character.

Even when we were kids whenever get a long very well. She had been a spotlight polestar. Never have I ever seen her show a tendency to make herself modestly inconspicuous. And i hate her confidence, max level kind of hate.
