Chapter 4

Few days have passed

"Now that Eggman and i finished the time machine. Sonic and Shadow might as well finished preparing for this." Tails said as he look at Rouge and Knuckles.

"We have to keep this machine close to us incase we face any difficulties." Eggman said.

"We agreed on opening this in here so we don't have to move it." Rouge said with her arms crossed.

"That way, we can also watch Eggman's actions." Knuckles glared.

"I said i wont do anything funny." Eggman glared back.

"They believe you, but i didn't." Knuckles said standing beside Rouge.

"Ah. Tails wished to see us. He said to bring Sonic and Shadow with us. The mission will start anytime." Silver scowled lightly.

"I'll call them." Blaze said about to leave.

"No, i will teleport to them. That way, i can pick them up quickly. Go ahead to Eggman's lair." Silver said floating.

"Take care." Blaze responded and left.

Minutes have passed. Silver has been floating around the city, searching for a certain blue hedgehog. The only place he didn't check yet is the cemetery.

"He's there. I'm sure of it." Silver mumbled to himself.

As he reached the cemetery. Almost immediately, he saw him. Sitting beside Amy's tombstone.

He halt for a moment, watching him.

Silver can see him talking, almost like telling a story to her. He would chuckle a little but turn into a lonely expression.

Sonic indeed need Amy Rose in his life.

"We're here." Silver, Sonic and Shadow entered.

"Have you two brought the equipments?" Tails asked.

Sonic grinned showing he did, while Shadow just looked away.

"Great." Tails smiled. "Silver, go to your place now."

As ordered, Silver took a seat far from Blaze.

"Remember what we told you to do. Rouge, Knuckles, you need to keep in track for the machine's energy and the time. Silver and Blaze make sure to be in charge of Sonic and Shadow's map, rate of speed, and look out. Eggman will keep close to the time machine's calculation to avoid any malfunction. All of you have your own communicator where you can talk to the both hedgehogs. Just make sure not in chorus. Agreed?"

"Yes. "

"Indeed. "

"Affirmative"

"Are you ready?" Tails asked them.

"I-i'm kinda nervous. I'm not ready to see Amy's body again." Sonic said looking at Tails.

"Shadow?"

"I am as well nervous as he is. But i try to keep myself calm. For i am also not ready to see Rose's body." Shadow answered truthfully while looking.

"We'll guide you two." Tails said.

"Thank you buddy." Sonic said gently.

"As much as i don't want to ruin your moment. Mr. Tails, the time on turning the time machine is nearing. We must be ready." Cubot said.

"Alright." Tails said. "If i told you to enter the portal, do it. Carefully." he added looking over his shoulder.

"We will." both nodded.

"Doctor Eggman, is everything still intact?" Tails asked while typing away.

"Yes. Cubot! Press the buttons!"

"Yes, Doctor Eggman."

"Rouge, the energy."

"On it, Tails. Its still low, we need more!"

"Knuckles, the emerald's energy."

"Adding some more! The time is close!"

"Silver, Blaze. Ready?"

"Yes!"

Everything seems to be ready now. Tails stood up and face them.

"Goodluck, Sonic. Shadow, take good care of my pal." Tails said.

The portal slowly turned on, showing an aqua light.

"Tails! The energy's set!"

"Ready?" Tails asked once again.

"I am." Sonic nodded.

"Hm." Shadow hummed.

As Knuckles watched the time. He looked at Tails and nodded.

"Its time. You may pass."
