I take (Y/n)s hand and give (p/p) a kiss on the cheek before I leave. We saved Vesuvia a few months ago and I live with (Y/N). Not as my apprentice but as my lover, partner, friend. I love (p/p) with all of my heart and I know (p/p) loves me just as much or even more, if that's even possible.
I walk out of the shop to get the herbs I need for one of the customers but it'll be a long walk before I arrived. The sun is almost setting when I finally see the little house in the distance.
I knock on the wooden door and soon after, a small old lady opens the door, giving me a warm smile and lets me inside. "You are here for the herbs, right?" I give here a firm nod and we both smile.
She turns on her tip toes around and says "Let me get them." She walks off and I look around a little bit. It is a comfortable place with a little fire place for the winter and a big bed. I want to take (y/n) to such a place and enjoy the time with (p/p). "Here they are." The woman takes me out off my daydream, she hands me the herbs and I give here the money.
As I put the herbs in my bag the lady asks "Do you want to stay for a cup of tea? Or maybe over night, it is already late." I look outside to the setting sun. With a small smile I say yes and she happily makes the tea.
"Thank you so much for your hospitality." I bow my head and say my goodbye. She smiles back and says "You can come again anytime you want." I nod and start to walk back home.
A few minutes pass and something weird is going on with the magic I usually feel. (y/n)s magic if I'm precise. I can't feel (y/n)s magic as much as yesterday and Faust notices that's somethings off, too.
Worried my steps fasten and Faust looks in front of us like she would be home faster like this.
I start to panic but it wont be until a few hours when I'm back in Vesuvia. (y/n)s magic gets stronger for a second and I'm relieved but it soon weakens again, like she used a great amount of magic that caused her to loose magic even faster.
I don't know what happened in Vesuvia and I don't have time to stop and ask if everything's fine. The faster I'm home the better.
Every few steps I run a little bit before walking normally again. My heart feels heavy and the connection to (y/n) gets weaker and weaker.
I don't know how long I've been walking but it feels like days. I completely lost all of my senses, trying to concentrate on the little bit of magic I can still feel from (y/n).
With every step my heart gets heavier and my steps faster. Faust is peaking her head out of my tunic, a worried expression on her face. There is definitely something wrong.
The sun is high in the sky and it still feels like I'm miles away from (y/n). At some point, I recognize the trees around me. I made it to Vesuvia now I have to find (p/p).
(Y/n) magic was stable for the time I was walking but now it dropped again. Severely. I start to run as fast as I can. I don't stop, not even when I started to taste blood in my mouth and my body screams for me to stop.
"Agh!" I scream as I fall an the ground and cutting parts of my skin so much they start to bleed. My body is weak and my body just wants to stay there, laying on the ground.
No. I can't. I grunt as I stand up again. "Are you ok, Faust?" She slithers out of my tunic and darts her tongue in and out as a yes. I sigh and pick up speed again, only thinking about the safety of the most amazing person to ever exist.
