Walking out of the office, the world seemingly weighed down on you. Perhaps it would be better this way. Isn't it easier to end something which never had the chance to start?

It was a foolish thought. To even dream of the possibility of living in daydreams with the Spencer Reid. To exist not only in the same universe but together.

Better to let things go now, before reality forces it to end.

Rosi's commanding tone rang in your ears. The phrase ran laps in your mind. Repeating it like a prayer chant, you used it to crush your own hope. Ending the "what if's" and the childish longing.
And now you'd go back to how it was before. Before your mind created this fantasy. Back to beginning and ending each day without him. Like the earth without its sun. A cloud of darkness enraptured you at the very thought of letting him go.

"Hey, come help me scan this security footage!"
You turned to Emily, she was hunched over a messy desk. Half finished notes littering the cubicle.

Sighing, you let go of your thoughts and made your way over. Scooting close to Emily, you watched the computer screen with her. The image of a man dressed in all black flickered across the glitch infested camera. A cliche mask covered his features but the rest of the description was accurate. The man stood on the tracks of the underground train station. Every now and then the screen would get covered by an oncoming train. Eventually, the computer filled with passengers exiting a train.

"Here." You followed Emily's finger where she pointed at a man and a woman holding hands as they walked towards the farthest staircase exit. Your eyes glued to the screen, scanning for any detail or slight mistake that could get you an inside on the unsub.

With a click of the mouse, Emily shifted to a different security camera which gave a better view of the staircase the couple walked up. After a few seconds, the unsub began following them. You couldn't hear it, but it was obvious he called out to get their attention. It happened directly as they turned around. Woman first then the man. You didn't even flinch as the trigger was pulled twice.
After, the unsub immediately ran to the exit but something caught your eye.

"Go back ten seconds." You told Emily without even looking at her.
She did as told.
"Stop. Now zoom in on him."
Once again, Emily followed your orders, waiting expectantly.
"Look." You pointed star the unsub, in the image you could just barely make out the outline of a walkie talkie.

"Atta girl!" Emily smiled up at you. "What do you think it means?"

You crossed your arms, leaning against the desk. "I'm hoping a partner. Easier to track if there's two of them. They're more likely to make a mistake."

Emily stood, gave you a pat on the back before leaving the cubicle. "I'll inform the rest of the guys. Don't know what Id do without you Y/N."

You gave her a little wave goodbye and that when you felt the vibration in your pocket.
Pulling out your phone, your heartbeat seemed to beat incredibly fast as you read the message.

Morgan: Heyy mama. Reid says to meet him in the library downstairs. You kids are wild ;)

You stared at your phone in disbelief. Running away again sounded like a great idea right about now.

But, you knew eventually you'd have to confront him.
