Chapter 12 "Zero"

*Zero, Tsunami and Turtle swim across the sea to the lost continent*

Tsunami: "what do you think we'll see?"

Zero: "don't know...i mean we could see something like Duna, Kabuto, Snowy and Blizzard....or we could see something like-" *he remembers the dragon he, Red, Ocelot, Liz and Snake fought against* "you know what, never mind that last one."

Tsunami: "alright....squid brain."

Zero: "really squid brain? really?"

Turtle: *slows down* "Red told me about the fight."

Tsunami: "wait...what fight?"

Zero: "well....liz was taken by Scarlet."

Tsunami: "wait....i thought she died in her arena when-"

Zero: "she had a champion, huge and monstrous. It had gills like us...a hide like a mudwing and odd plates on its back."

Tsunami: "ok...so that 2."

Turtle: "2 what?"

Tsunami: "this lost continent and that dragon."

Zero and Turtle: "oh..."

Turtle: "ok."

Zero: "now all we need to do is-" *he stops holding his wings out in front of Tsunami and Turtle*

Turtle: "what?"

Zero: "keep your heads and gills above the water...from here on out..water's not safe to drink or breath in."

Tsunami: "how can you tell?"

Zero: "i can see seed pods on the river's mouth, not sure if they are bad or not..and the water looks like it's starting to turn brackish."

Turtle: hm...*he cast a small enchant to allow him and Tsunami to see what Zero sees for a little bit*

Tsunami: "wow...ok then so let's get out of the water."

*the trio get out of the water before*

???: don't move.

Turtle: oh! *looking at dragons that seemed to melt from the forest around them*

Tsunami: *very surprised* wow what?

Zero: *holds his arms up* we surrender!

???: i don't know who you are or what you want, just go back across the ocean and never return.

Zero: uh..we really can't do that...not till we've finished what we've started.

???2: and that would be?

Tsunami: we need to figure something out. A friend of mine is missing-

???: get on with it?

Tsunami: *eye twitches a little* I was getting to that. She is missing her tribe.

???2: wow..that's just-*they rub their head* a nightmare to me.

???: What tribe?

Zero: Beetlewing.

[back at the school]

Peril: hm...

Clay: you're still worried are you?

Peril: yeah...I mean the last time we saw him, he took off, away from the other tribes in order to get away from Glory.
