[28] Not Seeing Eye To Eye

One month later

Roxy's PoV

I sit solemnly looking out of the window, watching the rain drizzle aginast the glass, getting harder the further the time flies by. It had been a few weeks since Bella's disastrous birthday celebration and so much had already changed.

"Hey, are you alright?" A blonde haired boy asks, his face lacing with worry.

I nod sadly, "Yeah, I'm fine thank you. Just thinking about things."

"You sure, you eyes are telling a different story."

I sigh, "I'll be okay, my boyfriend and I have decided to take a break from each other. Take some time to fully think things through."

"Did he cheat on you? Cause I'd definitely leave him straight away."

"And what? Get with you. No thanks, " I scoff, "He didn't cheat by the way, just a little too protective of me," I explain with a cold glare.

"Hey I wasn't tryi-"

The bell rings and I stand up abruptly, "I know. Look I best be going."

I then storm off my eyes filling with tears that I knew would soon become uncontrollable, so I rush off to my dormitory quickly sitting on the bed my head in my hands.

"Why did you have to be so difficult?" I mumble.

Flashback

"Hey Eddie," I greet, taking a seat next to the solemn teen.

"Hello, Annie."

"How are you doing?" I question, looking out at the endless snow.

"I..I've made the right choice haven't I?" He mutters, "Leaving Bella was the only way I could protect her."

I inhale deeply, "Edward, I know it isn't my place to say, it's just maybe being at a distance will prevent physical pain but the emotional damage you've caused isn't something she is ever going to be able to survive without some kind of permanent scar."

He swallows heavily, "I need to be alone."

I sigh offering a small smile, walking away back into the house. As I walk into the living room, I trip on the large ancient rug, quickly being caught in Jasper's arms, noting the look of annoyance on his face.
