Today was the day of the dance. I was 100% ready. Aunt Tiffany brought my dress to the house yesterday. I was ready. I had never danced with anyone much less a boy. A cute boy at that. I didn't know how to dance. At all I had never danced. I had never went to a accual dance with a date.

The clock ticked all day slowly. All day long! When the final bell rang I heard all the girls talking about the dance, my friends walk down the hallway. Nina Macy Saysha Aaliyah and Kristen.

They walked up to me and asked if I was going to the dance. I told the "Yes I was." But I didnt mention with whom. Nina was the only one who knew. I closed my locker and we walked out the door. We was all talking about how the pep squad (Us and like four other people) had too beat the cheer leaders in a cheer off the next pep rally. " I think we should do Hurkeys and Toe touches and Backhandsprings and Stunt a flyer" Kristen said. They all looked at Me, Macy ,and Nina. Because we took Gymnastics as a young teenager maybe when we was thirteen and fourteen. It was time for me to get on my bus I climbed on and sat in my seat. I put in my ear buds and turned on my music. I glanced out of the window watching people climb on the busses. When I heard the bus driver say. " Go sit with Kaylee." I glanced up and it was none other then Zach. He sat down. "Crazy seeing you here, but I ain't complaining." He said as he smiled and winked. My cheekes turned red. I couldn't help but smile. I hummed the tune of Arianna Grandes "Love Me Harder" as a guy who I don't particularly like got on the bus.His name is Snake. He sits on front of me. He has blonde hair like nine tatoos and he's in the eleventh grade. He seen Zach sitting with me. "Oh really, Kaylee." He said. "Man Snake. Hush up." I said. "Why are you sitting with this stupid guy." He asked. "Stupid is a mean word." I said. "Oh yeah I forgot your one of those church going girls." He said. "Oohh!" All the high school and middle schoolers yelled. "Yeah I do go to church not ashamed of it. Maybe you should come with me sometime because you need some Jesus." I said. "Ohhh." They all said. "Church? Me go to church? I have better things to do like sleep in. God isn't real." He said. " Well I would tell you about God but it seems like no one can teach you anything because you were supposed to Graduate two years ago." I said. He rolled his eyes. "But don't worry you won't be seeing me in Hell." I said. "Kill em'!" They all shouted. When it was time for me to get off I did. I ran inside to my room through my back pack down. I ran to my Aunt Tiffany's room. "Tiffy" (I call her) 'Yes dear?" She asked "Where's Nancy?" I asked
Nancy is my step mom. But she's like my mother she has been with us since I was three. My mom walked out on us and my dad died when I was nine. All I have left is Nancy, Aunt Tiffy , and my eighteen year old sister Casey.

" She is working but go sit in my makeup chair and I'll be in in a minute to do your hair and makeup." she said.

"Okay." I said.
