There are five Archangels in total, all created by Him to watch over his most precious creation known as mankind.

The first to be made was Lucifer, the Archangel of Fear. He was His favorite for many years.

The second was Azrael, the Angel of Death. The Creator, being loving, did not wish pain upon mankind but knew that the humans must be mortal, so death must come to them.

The third was Uriel, the Archangel of Light. Uriel brought joy to the humans, showing them the wonders of God's wondrous creations.

The fourth was Michael, the Angel of Protection. He was meant to protect the humans from any dangers that they may face. Little did he know that he would become the strongest Angel to protect Heaven and Earth against his elder brother's forces.

The fifth was Gabriel, the Archangel of Wisdom. He was responsible for the gates of Heaven and for teaching the humans all the knowledge they required in life. Despite having a serious duty, Gabriel became the more lighthearted brother out of all the Archangels.

There was a sixth Angel, whom is known as Raphael, but being that he is the youngest brother who was created far after his eldest brother fell, he was not involved in The Prophecy. Raphael's story is another one entirely.

The five brothers lived in peace with the humans, teaching the earth-dwellers as their Father willed them to. However, the eldest brother turned against the Creator, and you know how the rest of the story goes. Now he is banished, casted out, betrayed and abandoned by his other brothers.

To appease the Archangels and give them a purpose in the modern age, He created the four Archesses. Why four and not five? Well there was to be a horrible fate for the fifth Archangel who did not have an Archess.

The Archesses were created as significant others for the Archangels, to fill them with life as their spirit had been lost from the humans no longer needed them. They were beautiful women who possessed the traits to balance the traits of the Archangel they were paired to.

In finding an Archess, the Archangel would grow stronger, gaining strength from their Archess. The Archesses could be a blessing for the Achangels, but also their downfall.

If one killed an Archess, then the power of the paired Archangel would be drained and given to the killer. The Creator did this in case any of his beloved Angels dared to turn against Him, as their elder brother did.

Three of the five Archangels found their Archesses successful- Uriel, Michael, and Gabriel. Azrael, who assumed the role of the eldest and leader after Lucifer's downfall, grew more worried as time passed and he had not found his Archess, for there was a prophecy.

The final remaining Archangel who did not have an Archess would be destined to bring the end of this world and would be cursed to fight his brothers. A fight in which he was not likely to win, unless he did the unthinkable and ripped his brothers' powers away from them. Azrael, as well as his three younger brothers, all believed this fate belonged to Lucifer. This is why Azrael was so anxious to find his Archess. He feared that Lucifer would try to make his move now that a millennia had passed since his banishment. Azrael needed to reach his true power to ensure that he could protect humanity and his brothers, and in order to do that he needed his Archess.

The eldest brother felt no need for an Archess. He knew it would be him who finds the renaming one. He spent his time devising a ruthless plan of revenge on his brothers for betraying him and perfecting creations of his own, known as Demons, vampires, werewolves, etc. He embraced the idea and this prophecy, knowing all he needed to do was prepare for a very intense battle physically and prepare himself mentally to take the lives of his brothers if necessary.

This prophecy would finally be fulfilled soon enough with the emergence of the supposed final Archess. Now the final question remained.

Which Archangel was she destined to be with?
