|third person POV|

  you sat in the gaming room of your apartment. you had put it together for your girlfriend, chiaki.

A small white couch sat in one corner of the room. the other corner consisted of a white desk with monitor setup. The keyboard was light pink with a matching mouse. Pink fairy lights illuminated the cream colored walls of the room. 2 beanbag chairs were arranged in front of a large TV boasting many game systems hooked up to it. Gaming controllers, game cases as well as figures and plushies lined the shelves of the room.

It was dimly lit, glowing a pink from the lights. Chiaki was plopped in a beanbag with a cat-ear headset which was glowing a dim white.

The TV screen soon went dark as she huffed in her seat.

"aw, i was so close!"

the sweatshirt she was wearing (stolen from you) was draped around her, it was oversized on her since you tended to wear oversized clothing. The strings of the hoodie had been tied into a bow.

"chiaki, cmon. you should take a break for a while."

"i know, but i need to finish this game to have it done for reviews and streams!! if i don't finish it by tomorrow we'll be all screwed up."

Chiaki has been working as a video game tester and reviewer, playing and analyzing games before they hit the market. she also recorded walkthroughs and streams to upload after the game hit the shelves.

She had recently been attempting to beat a particularly long game, made to challenge even the best of gamers.

"i know, but you haven't even showered. you can play more later."

"okay..."

she dragged herself up, setting her headset on a small charging stand. it glowed orange, a sign it was charging properly.

Taking her warm hand in yours, you walked to the kitchen as she delicately rubbed her eyes.

"can we make leftovers?" she said with a small yawn.

you nodded, taking some leftover takeout from the fridge before popping it into the oven on a tinfoil-wrapped tray.

you leaned against the marble of your kitchen countertop when chiaki came over, she leaned into you, her back against your chest.

you wrapped your arms around her small frame, nuzzling into the crook of her neck.

her breath slowed as she relaxed, growing tired.

The oven soon began to beep, interrupting you two and startling chiaki, making her jump a bit in your arms.

"relax, the food is done."

her eyes lit up a bit as you look the leftovers out of the oven, microwaving the noodles and vegetables that couldn't be put in the oven.

Chiaki carefully stacked noodles and vegetables in a bowl and eating them. her pink chopsticks clinking together as she tried to grab pieces of food.

After she ate, she carefully set the dish into the sink.

Doing the same, you looked over at her. Her eyes were barely staying open as she leaned against the wall, the hood on her hoodie up, slightly scrunched against her face.

Smiling, you told her "we can do these tomorrow."

She nodded and gave me a faint but loving smile. Clutching your arm, you walked to your bedroom.

Painted a light pink color, the walls were lined with polaroids. Pictures of arcade machines and cute desserts, as well as you two on dates.

Cute animal nightlights stood on both your dressers. Chiaki found them a lot cuter then lamps.

Chiaki snuggled under the covers, already on the verge of falling asleep. Taking the comforter in your hands, you pulled it over the both of you.

Chiaki slowly migrated towards you, snuggling in the warmth of your chest. Before she fell asleep, you put your hands on her cheeks, cupping her face.

"I love you."

She blushed a bit and moved her face forward, giving you a kiss.

"i love you too..."

She said, yawning as she snuggled back into you.

You wrapped your arms around her, letting you melt into her warmth and the feeling of her soft skin and sweatshirt she had on.

The sound of your fan faded away as you both slowly drifted off to sleep, content in each other's arms.
