They told me to write letters to him, to open up to someone I trust, and even to talk to myself aloud to him. But nothing the said worked, well I don't think they worked , I didn't try. Maybe because I just don't want to believe he's really gone. They also told me that was always hard to lose someone you cared about. But, what do they know. They don't understand anything.
My grandpa died two months ago from a stroke. My parents say I have changed since then, and maybe I have. The doctors call it depression.
My mom always says to think what people see when they look at you. But what would they see, a 13 year old girl with brown hair, green eyes, who is tall, and has freckles dotting her nose. No, they would see a girl whose eyes glass over every time she thinks about her grandfather. Who hides in the back of class and shuts out everyone. They would see me, Raylin Grace Maltry.So I do what I do best, run from everything and everyone.
