The bell rang signaling the end of yet another period.
"Hey, can I get your number?" Evan asked me with a grin.
"Umm, yeah, sure!" That last part I said with a little too much excitement, surprisingly not startling Evan. I quickly grabbed a piece of scratch paper out of my bag and scribbled my number on it.
"Well, thank you." He said with an even bigger smile on his face.
"You're very welcome." I replied, a small giggle escaping my lips.
"See ya around".
"Yeah, totally".
As he walked away I found the butterflies leaving my stomach, the light blush leaving my cheeks, the smile leaving my lips. Then she ruined it all. Two hands all of th e sudden reached out and pinched my sides.
"Becca! Really, what was the need for that. You could have just said 'hi'!" I said slapping my forehead in exasperation.
"Well... what's the fun in that." With a big cheesy smile on her face she did it again, only this time, a lot more painfully.
I slightly jumped when my pocket began to buzz. Oh great I had again forgotten to turn it off this morning.
"Heyyyy guess who" I smiled not needing a minute of hesitation before replying back.
"Hmmm....Evan"
"How did you know?!!:("
"Lucky guess;) gtg"
"bye Rey"
Did he just...no way...eek! Is that a good sign? Was that flirting? Well I would now if that was flirting because I have loads of experience with flirting. Or is that a friend zone thing?! Oh great! Stupid hormones!!!
"Did you know that it is considered rude in most places to text while someone is talking to you!!"
"Yeah, sounds great." I replied still in my mental argument about the text.
"Raylin Grace Maltry!! You listen to me right now!!!"
"What!!" I screamed back nearly dropping my cell phone.
"I said, who are you texting?" She said regaining her composure.
"Nevermind, got to go... Bye!!" I said dashing off to my next class.
