"I've been thinking about you a latte"

An Americano

The stranger had ordered an americano, his voice was kind of deep and he had a small accent but Olivia couldn't pinpoint where he could be from. It made her want to talk to him more but she had a job to do. She asked for a name for the order and he said Johnny as he smiled warmly at her. She smiled back and nodded, "I'll let you know when your order is ready sir!" She says before going over to the machine and begins making the coffee. He was pretty tall and he had really handsome features so she had made up her mind to start up a small conversation with him if she was able to. She chose to ask about his shoes since she could play it off like she wanted to get a pair for her older brother or something so when the coffee was ready she softly spoke out the name he had given. The cafe wasn't that busy so she didn't figure talking for a bit would make any difference so as he walked over she thought about what she might say. She gently placed the white coffee cup on the counter,  glancing around the cafe to see where he had sat. The guy, assuming his name is Johnny, hadn't gone far as he was sitting a few tables away from the counter. She softly said the name and he looked up from his phone where he'd been focusing and stood up. He made his way over with a smile and as he reached the counter, Olivia decided to speak, "Hey um, sorry to bother you but I was wondering what brand of shoes are those? They seem really nice and I was actually looking for something to get my brother for his birthday next month!" The guy let out a small laugh and shrugged "I'm not really sure, I got them as a gift from my friend for Christmas but I can ask him if you're really curious?" he said as he picked up his coffee. She nodded with a smile, " that would be great but I wasn't sure if you were in a hurry or not" she said with a small laugh. "Well I should get going in a few but I've got a bit of time to spare, you can call me Johnny if you'd like. I'm not much of a sir, I don't think I'm much older than you based on looks" He said with a small chuckle to himself, taking a drink of his americano. He ended up sitting on one of the stools by the counter and Olivia moved her seat over to where he was now sitting so she was in front of him. "My name's Olivia and I'm not sure about the age but I'm sure I'm younger than you" she said laughing softly. "Nice to meet you Olivia" He said cheerfully, taking out his phone once again "I'll go ahead and text that friend of mine to see if her remembers where he got the shoes, if he doesn't get back to me by the time I have to go I'll just give you my contact info and I'll send it to you when he does get back to me." She nods and waits as he types out a text to his friend and then he looks back up at her, "So you work here all alone?" he asks with a smile as he takes another drink of his coffee, "No just today it seems no one else was able to come in, although some of their stories were a bit hard to believe. No worries though I can handle it, it isn't ever really busy here since no one seems to be able to find this place." Olivia said in response as she looked at the 2 other people who were in the little cafe. Johnny nodded a bit "Yeah I'm not sure how I found it, maybe I just love coffee so much it just popped up on my caffeine radar!" he said with a laugh, causing Olivia to laugh softly as well. "You live around here?" She asked curiously "I've never seen you around so maybe you aren't from around here?" He shook his head a bit "No I'm just here for work, I am originally from Chicago though. I would like to visit before leaving again but I'm sure we won't have time again." He said, sounding a bit down. She looked at him and tilted her head a bit curiously, this guy was strange and his life seemed more interesting than she had originally thought. For some reason, she felt herself not wanting his friend to reply just so she could get his number or something. Maybe they'd end up being friends? She didn't know but she wanted to get to know him better. "So you know what I do but all I know is that you're here for work and you're really busy, what do you do exactly?" she said curiously as she looked at him with a smile. He seemed a bit shocked at the question and smiled a bit "If I told you, you might not believe me. I'm surprised you don't already know me though" he said as he finished off the last bit of coffee in the cup. "I'll tell you later, I have to get back and it seems like my friend won't be replying to me any time soon. Typical Mark I swear that kid is always doing something. Anyway, you have Instagram right? No that probably won't be a good idea, do you know what Kakao talk is?" Olivia nods since one of her friends had made her get it just to be able to use the cute backgrounds the app offered for the chats. He smiles and asks for her phone, adding himself as a contact and sending himself a message "There we go now I can message you when he gets back to me, and if you don't mind I think I may come back tomorrow and bring a few friends along since this place is pretty quiet. Sound alright?" He asked with a smile. Olivia smiles "of course I don't mind some easy business! Plus you seem really cool so you must have cool friends too." she says with a laugh. He nods and stands up, pushing the stool back to the counter with a smile. "I wouldn't mind talking to you more too if you want, you said I seem cool and anyone with that attitude must be cool as well." He says as he throws away the coffee cup, holding up his phone a bit, "I'll message you!" he says pushing his way out of the cafe with a chuckle. Oliva smiles and sits back in her seat, she'd made a new friend and he was going to message her. This wasn't just a normal day, today... today was a good day. ____________________________________________________________
