Onyx POV
I look at my desk full of design templates and the waiting list for weddings. I had to select the final designs for the summer launch and choose which wedding Stella and I were going to do. This week has been so stressful. Tonight couldn't come fast enough, Friday night. Amber, Stella, Paisley, Rubi, Kam and I are going to catch a movie and to dinner to catch up. Then tomorrow we are going to a cookout at Rubi's parents house. Hold on, let me introduce myself.
I am Oynx Marie Green and my sister is Amber Maria Green. I am 22 years old and I take care of Amber who is 17. Our parents died the week after I turned 18 in a bad car accident, which was 4 years ago. There were no survivors at the scene. The other family died too with their two kids, it was so sad. I am a boutique owner, designer and wedding planner. I know it may be a lot but I enjoy being busy and being able to spoil myself and sister. Stella, Rubi and Paisley are my best friends. I have known them since I was 10 years old and they been solid. I am single and so are my girls. Kam is like my brother, he is Amber's best friend and they have been close since our parents died.
Rubi comes in my office and sit across from me.
"Need help?" she asks.
"Yea, I have a question. Do all these designs work for the summer? Did you want to change some designs?"
"They all work but I think the pink jumpsuit should be pastel instead of hot pink."
I write down her idea by the design and pass her the accessories summer look book.
"Do these work too? I love all the shades, I love the ones you did with the small lenses" I say.
"Yes they work too. Everything is perfect! Make sure to launch those fur slides too."
I write everything in my design book and then look at the wait list. Stella always let me pick the weddings. I go based of themes, budgets and initial meetings. I have so many connections but I can't work with a couple that can't come up with $10,000. I look at the list. I call Jane first to tell her.
"Hello" her voice sounds through the phone.
"Hi, It's Oynx. I was calling to see when you and Tim will be free to go over your wedding plans so we can start planning?"
"OMG!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? IS THIS REALLY YOU?"
"It's really me and I am serious" I laugh
"We can actually meet Sunday if you want to."
"I'm good with that. I will bring Stella and we will work everything out. Text me where we are meeting and the time and we'll be there."
"I will. Thank you. I am so happy!"
"No problem love. Have a good day."
"You too!"
I hang up and go to my wedding planner notebook to write their names and our meeting down. Jane and Tim is an amazing couple. They have been together for 4 years but engaged for 2 of those years. They have a budget of 28,000 dollars and a royal theme. Their wedding is in November. I love their theme and I could do so much and their budget was great to be a small wedding.
I call Hazel next. Her and Jude were getting married in December. They wanted a Winter Wonderland Wedding. They have been together for 6 years and engaged for 1 year. They don't have a budget which gives me free range but their wedding is huge, over 4,000 people. But they seem like a couple who loves the spotlight.
"Hello" Hazel voice speaks.
"HI, It's Oynx. I was calling to see when you and Jude would be able to set up a meeting to go over your wedding plans?"
