Oynx POV
After watching an intense game, Julian and Jade finally made the last two three pointers. As if he knew I was watching, my phone vibrates and his name pops up. I walk to the kitchen where the noise isn't as loud.
"Hello?"
"You saw ya boy on the court?" He smiles.
"Sorry, I was eating. Oops."
"Say you playing" he frowns.
"I'm not. I'm sorry."
"I wish you would've saw me but it's cool" he frowns again.
"I'm kidding" I laugh.
He mugs me then says, "I heard I'll see you tonight."
"Maybe, maybe not. Who knows?" I smile.
"I'll see you tonight. Jude is a close friend of mine and I am helping put things together for the dinner."
"Mm, okay. Well you may see me."
He laughs as I see him walking into the locker room.
"Who that is bro? She bad" His teammate asks.
"Hey best friend" Lucas says.
"Hi Lucas."
"Nigga, she not ya best friend" Julian says.
"She is, We talked about this. We're best friends, right Oynx?" Lucas asks.
"Yes, we're best friends Lucas. Did you enjoy playing tonight?"
"Yeah it was cool out there. I just signed this contract so I thought it was going to be like my old one but I played more and it was fun" Lucas says.
"That's good. I'm glad you're happy" I say.
"Thank you. I'll get your number from Julian later. I have to go change and pick up my little sister" Lucas says.
"I'm not going to give him your number" Julian says.
"If you don't, Hazel will. We already discussed our boy best friends. Mine is Lucas, Amber already has Kam, Rubi has Kaleb, Stella has August and Paisley has Noah. Paisley wanted you but Hazel was not having it" I laugh.
"So what if these dudes would have rejected y'all friendship?" Julian laughs.
"Uhh, why would anyone do that? That's mean" I say in confusion.
"Because they play for the NBA or NFL, they just about sex."
"So that's what you on?" I ask.
"No but I know some of these guys are on that."
"Who?"
"Can't say." He starts undressing.
"I have to go and so do you so I'll see you later."
"Okay Oynx. I'll see you tonight."
I laugh and hang up. I shake my head and head in the living room. Amber and I had to leave because it was 8:30 and I know traffic is going to get bad.
"Come on Amb. We're leaving. See y'all later and thank you for having us."
"No problem" Rubi mom says, hugging us.
"We'll be leaving soon" Rubi yells as she eats carrot cake.
Julian POV
Lucas walks over to me before he leaves.
"Lemme get Oynx number."
"Broooo" I drag out.
