Susan and Brian Trost had bought a home for $450,000. Soon after they moved in, they realized that something had been hidden by the previous owners while they were selling off the property. The previous owners had not disclosed to them that the house was infested by some creepy creatures known as ‘Brown Recluse Spiders’. These have a distinctive violin shape on their backs and can lead to pain, itching, swelling and nausea, if bitten. In extreme cases, they can even lead to organ failure and death. The spiders used to fall from the shower and and also crawl on the walls.
The couple could not get the insurance company to pay for their treatment but won a civil lawsuit against the previous owners for hiding facts before selling the property. Finally the house had to be gassed to get rid of these creatures.
