"Sakura, time for you to sleep" He found the girl playing with Deidara's clay scattered on the tiled floor. He plomped down infront of her and showed her the book.It was his turn to read her bed time stories, secretly hoping it won't be a hastle.
He watched as the 4 year old pinkette jumped into her bed and buried herself in the thick sheets as he sat on the stool beside her.
"Ne, Chichi-chan! Why don't you tell me your story on how you ended up here in the orphanage instead?"
He sighed, it's not like she'd understand and it wasn't really a secret anyways. "They are my friends and I chose to stay with them-"
"Why?"
"Don't ask me that, I don't even know as to why they're my friends. As I was saying, my whole clan is still alive, they are living in Konoha. My little brother Sasuke-"
"Sasucakes!? Waaaah, can I eat him?"
"No" she pouted.
"Sasuke had father's personality but he has our mother's looks.Maybe one day I'll bring you to meet my family."
"Really?wow! So how did you meet the Akasi?"
"It's Akatsuki, Saku-chan and that's a story for next time"
He placed the book on the small table and turned to stare at the pinkette expectantly.
"Something wrong,Chi-kun?"
He gave up.There was no way he could see the smile on her face Tobi and Madara had been talking about.
"Saku-chan...do you think Kisame is a fish?"he tried.
She laughed.
And he swore his heart stopped.
