The sun-kissed sea of golden petals spread bountifully throughout the meadow. Warm air wove in between the long stalks, taking crisp leaves as it winded past. A silver structure stood proud and alone within the golden cavalry. The suns rays ricocheted off the clear blue sky to settle upon the elegant structure, a yellow light beaconed from it's tip and merged with the sunflowers below.  I laced in between their long stalks, etching closer towards the only record of human existence for thousands of leagues.

Twisting through the labyrinth of sunflower stalks proved to be an extensive task. Every few minutes I would have to stand on my tip-toes to look above the flower heads, only to find that my course had been altered. The longer I ventured into them the more I realised that the structure seemed to be evading me like how I can never quite touch a rainbow. Perhaps it was guarding an ancient treasure, or the home to a fairy who despised humans. I giggled to myself at the thought of an angry fairy.

The sun was beginning to set. Warm hues of orange, pink and yellow blessed the meadow and as they touched the tip of the structure the sunflowers seemed to create a path for me. It was beckoning me towards it and as I stood before there; I felt like I was looking upon the entrance to Heaven.
