A/N:
Dedicated to whoisereza for my amazing banners. Thank you so much!Edited and updated on 11th Aug
It was like any other monotonous day. I glanced at the paper back, whilst blowing the nutty flavor of coffee, down my throat in two sips. I was hoping to take a break from the agenda. Locking my eyes onto the brown liquid that spun in smooth circles, I whirl the ceramic cup.
Expecting my eyes would catch something other than that, I stared back at the check-list only to face palm myself. Dang it!
Updates/ Announcements
~Introducing the new assistant at nine.
I rubbed the sides of my forehead.
I practically came in here, to continue my work that I was ninety nine point nine percent sure by now, would never happen. The news of the day, a little too captivating for my own liking.
My eyes quirked at what I heard this morning and a low groan escaped my lips as the receptionist announced the particular 'news of the day'. "Alright, thankyou," I answered, realizing I was being a bit too shocked to say anything. Besides, on the other side, her face clearly showed the deadpan in her voice. She had been putting too much limelight for her sexy boss, that she didn't want her unanswered by him.
Ten minutes ago, I received a call from grandpa and in a matter of minutes, he updated the news.
The way I told him I don't need one, the way I tried to explain I'm an oh-so-brilliant mega brain, the way I steeled my grandeur by highlighting the fact; I'm a former president's grandson went down the drain. The whole effect suddenly proved effortless when he inaugurated his stern policy matter-of-factly.
"I've settled everything you stubborn child. Do as you're told." That's it, and dismissed.
Yet, I master the mantra 'worth proving it wrong', which in turn volunteered an idea bloody intelligent. That's to interview her one more time. Though she'd already finished the formalities.
No sooner, you'll know the biggest mistake I'd ever done. That's, underestimating the power of a turnover.
I gulped some coffee.
"Dr. Yoon, May I enter?"
As the sudden creak of a door flew in the air, I felt my coffee turning up. Quickly, I fought back the reflex. See? The Warning God was invariably on cue, but as my intimacy towards the Good God stood supposedly bigger, I ignored it as usual.
I calmed my breathing to welcome the turn over.
It was one-on-one now.
"Hello to you, please take a seat."
