It had been a bit after the incident that Fox had been through. He was looking around at the surrounding area. He sits down on the grass as the wind blows strong. blowing his hair and fur to the right, majestically.
Once he is satisfied with his level of peace, he gets up and walks back toward the school. In a few minutes it would be time for initiation, so he walked a bit quickly. He arrived just in time for initiation to occur.
They were on the top of a cliff and there were steps to start off the initiation. Fox decided that he wanted to jump off of the cliff instead of running down the steps where all the others would be going down. There was a teacher there, ready to count down the time until it started. "5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1.." He counted.
Most of the students ran toward the steps, Fox hung back for a moment. He then ran toward the cliff, looking over and noticing that Moon had had the same idea. He jumped and launched himself forwards a bit with a sniper shot.
Moon plunged himself towards the ground while Fox was using his katana as a helicopter blade to slow his descent. Moon hit the ground and made a crater form. Fox hit the ground a bit hard, but it looked light thanks to his high parkour skills.
"So, you decided to jump too huh??" Fox asked. Moon simply said, "Hell yeah!! Faster than steps." They looked around and headed for the area that they thought would have the chess pieces. There was a clearing through the trees. There was a gigantic tree with a hollow middle that seemed almost man made.
Fox started heading toward that area. "We should check this out over here," He says. Moon follows, "Sure I guess." Fox sees two chess pieces off in the distance a bit, but there is something that will attempt to stop them from getting there. Fox here's a giant Grimm approaching them.
He turns to Moon. "There is a giant Grimm on the way. It is in the Ursa class, according to the way it is running." Moon pulls out his sword/shotgun, it glints in the sunlight as he readies himself for the fight.
Fox slides his katana out of it's sheathe and pushing a black handle piece forward. A scope flips out from the metalworking with a click. Out of the tip of the blade, a barrel extends about another 3 feet. The clip drops out from the piece of handle and all of it clicks into place.
Fox jumps into a tree and watches for the Ursa as Moon waits for it on the ground. The Ursa tramples down a few trees, coming to a halt at the top of a small hill. It jumps up on its hind legs and let's out an Earth trembling roar.
Fox takes the chance to shoot it a couple of times before it roars again and tramples through more trees, headed towards Moon. "It's coming straight for you, 12, o-clock!!" Moon sees it off in the distance and waits for it a bit longer. The Ursa, almost near them, starts running faster and heads straight for Moon.
Moon runs at the Ursa, jumping up into the air and shooting several shots at the Ursa. Fox pulls the sniper back into a katana with a few clicking sounds and jumps down out of the tree. He runs toward the Ursa, sword swinging behind his back while running. Moon is now running around it shooting it with shotgun shells. He waits for fox to get there to use a special feature on his weapon.
Fox arrives and Moon presses a button on the back of his weapon and twirls the barrel, causing it to switch to dust rounds. He hold the trigger and his shot charges up as Fox distracts it. "Keep him distracted for a couple more seconds!!"Moon yells out to Fox. Fox continues to distract the Ursa, jumping up on top of it and stabbing it in the back a couple of times before stabbing into it and running off of the back of it.
This gave Moon's weapon enough time to charge the shot. Moon released the trigger and a big thud was heard through the forest. The Ursa froze for a moment, Fox slid under it and sliced it in half in that moment. After that, it unfroze and floated away into dust.
Fox looks over at Moon. "We should go before more arrive." Fox says, sliding his sword back into the sheathe. Moon twirls his weapon and stores it. "Honestly Fox.. I didn't think you would make it this far. I thought for sure you'd be shoved into a locker by now." He says, catching up to Fox. The two headed toward where the chess pieces were. "This is very strange," Said Fox, looking confused. "What is it??" Moon asked, now curious. "Well... there are only two of these chess pieces... there should be more than that. Perhaps they are in another area??" Fox looks at Moon again, only for a fraction of a second. He then walks over to the chess pieces and grabs one of them. He examines it and it looked like it was glowing a bit. "I wonder if these will change the way people will look at us.. perhaps we will be more accepted??" Fox asked, curious. Though, not really worried about it.
"Welp, I'm going to head back. You comin'." Moon asks Fox. "I believe I will this time. I cannot wait to see who all is teamed together once we get back." Fox follows Moon back to the school, where they would be given teams based on the pieces they found.
