"So Ron, are we clear? You've told Blaise-?" Hermione asked for the tenth time.
"Yes Mione, I've told Blaise to hide Draco's wand. Don't worry, the plan will work. Just relax." Ron cut over her, rubbing her arm.
"And you've got Harry's?" she asked, biting her nails.
"Yeah, it's right here." he said, pulling it out of his robes and waving it in front of Hermione.
"Okay good. This should work as long as we find-"
But she trailed off as she looked over at the portrait hole to see Harry clambering through it, holding 4 huge library books. Spotting the two of them standing and talking by the fire, Harry waved and walked over.
"Hey guys." he smiled.
"Ron," Hermione muttered out of the corner of her mouth, "Wand. Put the wand away."
Fumbling with his robes, Ron shoved Harry's wand in his wand pocket abruptly as Harry's approached them.
"What's going on? Why are you just standing there?" Harry asked, putting the books down on the coffee table by the fire and opened the bottom one with great struggle.
"Mione," he groaned under the weight of trying to lift the heavy books, "A little help please?"
Hermione muttered under her breath and went to help Harry lift the books up and find the right pages.
"Hermione, of all the books in the library, you had to ask for the heaviest ones," Harry sighed.
"Oh yeah, thanks for going to get them. I would've but they were too heavy for me." she smiled at him.
"Its fine, I was in there anyway." he replied, flinging himself backwards on the sofa.
Ron and Hermione gave eachother questioning looks, as if asking eachother whether they should put theirs plan into action yet. Cautiously, Ron nodded and Hermione blinked to acknowledge their decision. Harry looked over at both of them, suspicious of the silence that filled the room.
"What is going on you two? Why are you both looking at me like that? Is there something you're not telling me?" Harry asked, looking from one to the other, "Are you sure it's not Hermione you're going out with Ron, not Blaise?" he chuckled to himself.
When Ron didn't laugh, he sat forwards and fell serious.
"Okay, seriously. What's going on?"
Ron went to sit next to Harry slowly.
"Okay so, we didn't know how you were going to take this but..." Ron paused before continuing, "Snape cornered us while we were looking for you and said that he wanted to see you in his office at 7 o'clock."
Harry's jaw dropped, "Why?"
Hermione sensed Harry's tension and placed her hand on his shoulder.
"He didn't say... but Harry, it's Snape. You better go. He'll just make your life hell if you don't."
Harry groaned in frustration.
"Ugh. Yeah, I guess." he placed his hands over his face and leant forwards to look at his watch.
"Its already 6:55 I'm gonna be late...." he stood up in frustration, "See you later guys."
The other two stood up aswell.
"We'll walk you there. I'm meeting Blaise anyway." Ron replied.
"Okay, let's hurry then." Harry huffed, walking towards the portrait hole.*Word Count: 527
