As they all walked down to the dungeons together, Harry pondered why on earth Snape would want him for. He'd done his essays, he'd not talked back at all, he'd generally been pretty good. Yes he'd done very poorly in his essay but he'd still done it. Oh no, Harry thought, what if he saw me flip him off when he wasn't looking? Harry's heart raced as they approached the dungeons.
"See you later mate." Ron called as he and Hermione began walking back up the stairs to meet Blaise at the top.
"Good luck. Have fun." Hermione said, smirking.
Have fun? Harry thought. How was he supposed to have fun with Snape? Harry rolled his eyes and went inside, bracing himself for the worst.
"Professor, sorry I'm late, I was-" Harry began but stopped abruptly when he realised it wasn't Snape standing at the front of the class, but Draco Malfoy.
At the sound of Harry's voice, Malfoy whipped around and groaned.
"What are you doing here?" the two asked simultaneously.
"I asked you first." they asked together once again.
Draco was scanning Harry with surprise. Suddenly aware that he was being surveyed, Harry turned around to leave only for the door to slam in his face.

Click.

Harry's body froze, as he realised what was going on.
"Haha very funny guys, now let us out." Harry called, banging the door.
"No," replied Ron, who was highfiving Blaise.
"You can come out when you've learnt to get on." Hermione continued.
Harry was furious.
"Why are you doing this? Come on guys. Let. Me. Out."
Harry was now banging rapidly on the door, pouring it loudly.
"No, listen Potter," Blaise began,"Ever since me and Ron started going out, we've noticed you and Malfoy have been bickering more and more. I don't care how long it takes you two, you need to be friends."
"And this is the best way to stop us bickering?" Malfoy yelled, jumpingup and shoving Harry from the door.
"Looks like it. We've tried everything else, haven't we?"
Harry swore under his breath.
"Its not my fault Potter's annoying piece of work." Malfoy scoffed, folding his arms.
Rolling his eyes, Harry tried to shove Malfoy away from the door, only for Malfoy to smirk and take a step backwards, causing Harry to fall face first onto the floor. Bursting out laughing, Malfoy shook his head and went to sit down at a desk.
"What the hell Malfoy?" Harry exclaimed, rubbing his cheek as he sprung up.
"You charged at me first, I was just preventing injury." Malfoy replied cooly, flipping open a textbook and beginning to read it.
"I- you..." Harry stuttered, but decided to shut up when Malfoy turned away from him.
Harry wasn't in the mood for a row, with Malfoy of all people. As Harry sat down a few rows in front of Malfoy, he noticed how cold the room was becoming. Trying to conceal the noise of his teeth chattering, Harry rubbed his palms together and started to blow into them. His breath crystallised and goosebumps began to form over his skin as he sat in the cold silent room.
A thought struck Harry as he began searching his robes for his wand, maybe that'd help him get out of there.
"It's no use." Draco said lazily, facing Harry, "They've taken them."
Harry gave Draco a suspicious look.
"I checked when you were busy trying to break down the door."
Harry groaned, nodded and sat straight back in his seat. There had to be some way to get out.
"Stop it, Potter." Malfoy complained, slamming his book down in frustration.
Harry whipped around and eyed Malfoy.
"I'm not doing anything Malfoy." Harry replied.
"Could you be breathingany louder?" he asked, shivering.
"I'm cold." Harry replied, blowing into his hands once again.
"I'm cold too but you don't hear me wheezing."
But that wasn't true. Malfoy's breathing was echoing around the dungeon; he was visibly shivering and was much much paler than usual.
"What are we goingto do about all this?" Harry asked after a few minutes silence.
"If what you mean is the cold then I don't know. In case you haven't noticed, I don't have my wand and I'm not exactly an expert in muggle stuff ."
"No, not just that. I mean, Blaise is right. I hate to admit it but, I do think we need to find a way of being around eachother without bickering."
Malfoy scoffed.
"No, Malfoy. I'm serious. Okay fine if you don't do it for Ron then at least do it for Blaise. He's your best mate."
Malfoy sighed, "Well I suppose you're right, for once."
"Even if we have to pretend," Harry finished.
"What's the point in that?" Malfoy asked, facing Harry.
"We'll, so we can-"
" No, I mean why pretend? Look... as much as you hate hate me, I'm not exactly your biggest fan either. I think..." he signed before continuing, "we need to put the past aside and ACTUALLY get on."
"I don't hate you. You're just not exactly my favourite person. You insulted my mum, my dad and the Weasley's-"
"Hey! You landed my dad in Azkaban!" Draco yelled.
"Yeah, well- " Harry stuttered, "Shut up!" Harry called back.
