Turning in the not so comfortable bed she tried to get some sleep, she couldn't even remember the last time she slept for more than four hours, her muscles ached from her activities of the previous day and you sure as hell didn't want to know for what she she did for a living...You can take a guess though because she sure as hell didn't know.

She pulled the blanket over herself and hugged the pillow tighter still trying to get more sleep. She had a lot of things to do today, first she had to walk the dogs for an hour then she had to go to the mall oh, please do not misunderstand her she didn't own the mall she only worked there as a sales person, then off she would go to the daycare to pick up the kids and no they didn't belong to her and then her night job as a waitress...yep it was official - her life sucked but hey it's all about the hustle.

Your probably wondering why she wasn't behind a desk surrounded by four walls and oh don't forget the black and white suit. She had finished her high school and got her degree but the first two years where hard on her, she couldn't get a job and was working part time at the mall but got tired of the hunt so that's why she was where she was.

Checking the time she saw it was 6:30. 'shit shit she was going to be late, those women would kill her'. Jumping off the bed she dashed into the bathroom, brushed her teeth, did her morning business and walked to her closet, picking out a pair of ripped jeans and crop top and pulled out her boots - this baby was her life she'd had them for like a year and half, pulling her hair up in a bun she walked to the kitchen grabbed her door keys and her bag and left for work.

It was already 7:00am when she got to the subway. And 7:45 when she got to Madam Fisher's house.

'Knock knock', she was panting by the time she got to Madam Fishers house to pick her dogs up, German Shepherds, and she always wanted one of those

Ringing the bell she waited for the door to be answered 'Good morning ma'am,'.

'Hey Winter how are you'

" I'm good ma'am, are the boys ready"  turning back into the house she called for them. And immediately they both ran out.
Bending down she patted their heads and cooed sweet nothings to them.

"see you later ma'am."

It was already 8:15 when she finished picking up all the dogs, yep that's right, 8 of them. Her job as a dog walker wasn't that bad, in fact she enjoyed doing it because it helped her clear her head, at least she could forget everything for that short period of time, and as a bonus she got to see the beach everyday without having to take out extra time from her busy schedule. When she saw the waves coming towards the ashore she always thought of herself you know, The water washing away all her problems, all the darkness she carried inside of her, and making sure they never saw the light of day. But she knew she wasn't that lucky and that she couldn't possibly wash away something that was part of her existence and just like the shop/shrine she used to visit said "the first step to solving a problem is acceptance". The only difference was that her problem wasn't getting solved, she was just accepting that there was a problem.

Anyways, back to reality, what was she talking about... Ahhh yes her job as a dog walker, it was all good actually except when she had to chase after a dog whose leash got broken or worry about the unfortunate stranger who tried to pet them and got bitten.

She had to take the dog's back by 10:00. Looking for a place to sit, she hooked their leash on a bigger holder and held it in her left hands. Pulling out the news paper she began to read it page by page from the headlines to economics all the way to politics and even sports, a bit of celebrity's gossip read out loud like the dogs could understand her and probably give their own opinion. "The billionaire boy's strike again, New York's hottest billionaire seen the night before in a club downtown with his best friends since college. It seems nothing could wear their relationship down, whoring through women and making it in the business world as well." Winter didn't even know if she would laugh or sigh in disgust. Anyway moving into the next section, it appears that the elections were rigged and it happens that there is a new candidate for the opposing party. Sometimes she felt like she couldn't careless what happened in the countries politics and other times she wanted to go up there and smack them on the head and perhaps lend a little bit of intelligence on how to run a bloody country.

By the time she'd finished her review of the morning paper it was already some minutes after 10. Deciding to do the drop offs she got on her feet, put their leashes on two different holders and proceeded to walk away and by 10:30 she was done stopping at MacDonald's she decided to grab a big cup of cappuccino and a medium size doughnut. She always made sure to spend at least an hour in the library everyday it wasn't that far so she decided to walk, besides it wasn't like she had any other option.

Opening the door she greeted the old man at the counter and moved to her usual section for the past two weeks. It was the Romance section. She didn't read it because she liked or she was a fan of it, but because it was better than reality and at the end of every book she had read it was either they ended up together and lived happily ever after or they both died together because one couldn't live without the other so, yes that was better than her reality at least she could always let her imagination run wild, sometimes she saw herself as the female lead or sometimes the one who didn't want them to be happy. She usually read horror stories or science fiction, it wasn't like she was into science or anything she just liked the fact that she got to create her own you weapons in her mind and all those cool stuff that could never happen in reality like drive a spaceship and then sometimes she read humor and paranormal. She spent the next two hours in the library reading a book and by 12 her alarm went off reminding her of her next job.

Grabbing her bag and putting the book back in the self she went out the door and round the corner. The mall was about 30 yards from the book store and she had to be at work by 12:30.

Winter's job at the mall was the worst of all, she got to see very spoilt girls with little or no manners and who didn't how to behave or talk to strangers. But she knew she needed that extra $150 paycheck a week, even though she got to share the rent with her roommate who also happens to be her best friend the bills were still pilling up, and she still had outstanding bills to pay. Bills and loans she didn't even know what were used for or even why it was borrowed but the responsibility of paying the loan was hers so she needed to work as many jobs as she could. She didn't even know why they let her pay the loan back in instalments but they did and she had only God to thank for that. She made sure to deposit the money every month in the bank without fail.

And as usual the mall was busy with all sorts of people of different caliber. And her boss - she didn't even know who made that man a manager, he was always grumpy, you know what scratch that he was never happy and was always sweaty, well that was probably because he was fat, no offense to fat people she knew fat lives mattered but sometimes she felt like his didn't matter.

By 6:30 her shift was over and she had to go back to the apartment. Today was her off day from the bar, "yes she didn't have to go to work on Mondays because the bar wasn't that busy" but sometimes she picked up any other job just to make extra cash because she needed it.

Changing her work clothes she walked to the subway. Thanking God for the successful day, well except from when she almost got into a fight with some random girl at the mall. This night she was going to sleep for 10 hours Heaven help her.
