sooyun hated it. every single part of it. the last thing she wanted to do was hurt minji. minji had been there for her through everything and had always been such a good friend to her. now, she would have to remove her from her life and it made her feel sick.

she didn't get much sleep and she was dreading the day ahead of her. she forced herself out of bed and walked to the bathroom. she splashed her face with cool water and quickly brushed her teeth before heading back to her room.

soo took her sweet time putting on her school uniform. she really didn't want to go considering what she would have to do. maybe she could wait until school was over to do it? killerkitten didn't say when...

sooyun jumped as her phone vibrated against the nightstand. she walked over and picked it up, sighing in relief when she saw that it was minho.

minho

minho

soo
bye! love you

minho didn't respond back, which really wasn't unusual. sooyun knew he was driving by now and couldn't respond to her. she really wished he could somehow take the day off and spend it with her. she wanted to tell him what was going on. or at least what she was about to have to do.

even if minho could take the day off, sooyun couldn't. her parents were strict and would never allow her to skip school. especially since it was only the second day back from summer break.

sooyun sighed heavily and slipped her hoodie on, stuffing her phone into the front pocket. she picked her bag up from the floor and headed downstairs. she quickly slipped out the front door without a word, locking the door behind her.

after a quick glance at the driveway, she knew her parents had already left for work. her brother's was gone too so she assumed he had slept over at one of his friends' houses.

sooyun made a detour towards the convenient store since she was already late for school. besides, the convenient store was only couple blocks from the school. as she walked into the shop, the door made a ringing sound.

"ah, hello sooyun," the old lady behind the counter said and sooyun bowed politely. sooyun grabbed two gimbaps from the shelves and an iced coffee. she placed them on the counter and the lady started ringing her up.

sooyun quickly paid for her breakfast and the old lady gave her the bag. "shouldn't you be at school, young seo?" she asked. it wasn't abormal for the owner to call her that. sooyun had gone there a lot with the boys and minji.

sooyun shot her a nervous smile and nodded once. "ah, yes. i'm just grabbbing something to eat. i'm heading to school now."

the old lady grinned and nodded. the more she looked at sooyun, the more she noticed the dark circles under her eyes. "did you not sleep much, miss? you don't look well."

sooyun let out a nervous laugh. "ah, i'm fine, mrs ahn. i should really be going now!" before the lady could respond, sooyun practically ran out of the store.

she slowed down and reached into her bag. she unwrapped one of her gimbaps and started eating it as she walked to school. by the time she had arrived, she had finished both and downed her coffee.

she tossed her trash into a nearby bin and stared up at the school, a long sigh escaping her. she pushed all of her thoughts away and walked in.

sooyun walked down the hall and to her locker. as she opened it, a folded piece of paper taped on the inside of the door catching her attention. her breath hitched in her throat. she hesitated for a few moments before grabbing

she slowly unfolded it, her heart thumping with fear. her eyes moved over the words scrawled on the paper.

since you want to try to ditch school, your hours have been cut down. do it during lunch or i will expose your precious boyfriend.

the clock is ticking, seo sooyun. be wise.

— k.k.

sooyun quickly ran over to the nearest trash can, ripping the paper up into tiny pieces before dropping them into the trash. tears pricked her eyes as she walked back to her locker.

she grabbed her things and slammed her locker shut, resting her head on the cool metallic door. but only for a few moments before heading into the classroom, keeping her head down. she mumbled an apology to the teacher for being late then walked to her seat.

she could feel minji looking at her but she continued to keep her head down. she even ignored her when minji tried to get her attention, confusing minji to no ends.

minji thought that maybe she was having an off day or maybe she and minho had a fight. they had them a lot but it was never something she couldn't talk about. regardless, minji have sooyun the space.

fuck you, killerkitten, she thought. she wasn't ready for this. she was starting to think she actually couldn't do it. but now this prick was making her do it during lunch in front of everyone.

and that was something she was not looking forward to.

sooyun ran her hands through her hair out of frustration. she looked around the room, watching everyone closely. what if killerkitten was sitting in the same classroom she was, just watching her? she shivered at the thought.

what did this person even get out of this? why did they want her to do this? why were they even doing this to begin with? why now?

how did they know about minho? but then again, this person seemed to know everything about him, her, and minji. how much did this person actually know and how did they even know them?

they all knew a lot of people so narrowing down the list was hard. did they know them? what if it was someone they were close with? sooyun's stomach twisted as the mere thought crossed her mind.

she tried to think of who it could be. she knew the person had some sort of spiral notebook according to the type of paper the note was on. the person wrote with a black pen though, so diminishing the list seemed impossible. almost everyone wrote with black.

but how far was this person willing to go? first it was the harassment online. then it was the anonymous notes. and now blackmail. sooyun thought it was a troll at first. she had convinced herself that it was. but now, she wasn't so sure.
