ABHISHEK
"Aish, utho. We're here." I whispered.
She mumbled something before fluttering her eyelids open.
I held her hand before getting down the bus.
We directly made our way into the hotel, where a cake awaited all of us.
Post the victory celebration, Shubman and I were face caked. We goofed around for a few minutes before everyone made their way to their respective suits.
Aish hit the bed, the minute we stepped in.
I walked into the washroom to clean my face.
Aish was still on the bed when I came out; clean.
"Change your clothes and sleep." I said.
"Okay mom." She replied, rolling her eyes, but still laying on the bed.
"Aish." I stated.
"Please Abhay. I'm too tired." She whined.
"No." I said sternly.
"Change. The clothes you're wearing are too uncomfortable to sleep in." I added.
"But I'm comfortable." She retorted.
"Well, my arms won't stay around you for a long time with that irritating my skin." I said, pointing at her black top.
"You change my clothes then." She replied, her eyes closed.
When I didn't say anything she opened her eyes and looked at me.
"Okay?" She asked.
Unknowingly, a blush crept on to my face.
"What're you blushing for?" She chuckled.
"It's not like you haven't seen me without clothes." She winked.
"Shut up." I mumbled, still blushing.
I walked towards her bag and got a pair of shorts and a tee, before walking back to her.
She stood straight, making it easier for me to change her clothes.
After she was done, she fell on the bed again.
When I say fell, I mean it.
I took off my jacket and kept it on a couch before walking towards the bed.
My tshirt and sweats were comfortable for me to sleep in, so I didn't see the need for me to change again.
"What do you want for dinner?" I asked Aish.
"You." She chuckled.
"Aish!" I exclaimed, facepalming myself but with a smile on my lips.
"What?" She started laughing by now.
"I swear to god, if you don't shut up, the clothes you're wearing now would be lying on the ground in the next two minutes." I said.
"I don't mind." Was her reply.
Shaking my head, I looked at her.
She had a goofy smile on her face, which caused a smile to form on my lips.
"Order a pasta or something." She said, smiling.
After ordering a pasta for us, I turned to look at Aish, who was looking at me.
"What?" I asked her.
"Just thinking how lucky I got." She chuckled.
I was about to say something but she started speaking again.
"If you hadn't convinced me in giving us a chance, we wouldn't be here."
"We're together because daadu and uncle knocked some sense into your small little brain." I said.
She rolled her eyes, but still had a smile on her face.
"That's there. But you didn't give up on me, on us. And that's what matters the most to me." She stated.
"You matter the most to me." I said, smiling, before leaning in and connecting our lips.
She held my tshirt and pulled me on top of her. I kept my elbows on either sides to prevent myself from squashing her.
She pulled away and looked directly into my eyes.
"You make me feel like I'm intoxicated."
"Intoxicated by me?" I asked, chuckling.
"Totally." She smiled.
Shaking my head, I laughed at her.
"Done with packing?" I questioned.
"Yes sir." She grinned.
"Aapka bhi kar liya." She added, kissing my cheek.
I laid down next to Aish, wrapping my arm around her.
While she spoke about random things, I ran my fingers through her hair and silently thanked god for this beautiful soul laying next to me.
Our dinner arrived pretty soon.
We watched a chicklit while eating and soon enough Aish was asleep on my shoulder.
I laid her on the bed and cleaned it, before laying down next to her.
Honestly, I'm the lucky one among the both of us.
Aish could've broken up with me long back because of the things she went through just because she was my girlfriend. But she didn't, instead, she held my hand and told me that we'd get through it.
I smiled at her, before kissing her forehead.
She makes me feel like I'm intoxicated.
I switched off the lights and wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close.
Things were never easy for us and I don't think they'd ever be. But what I'm sure of is that, Aish and I would get through it, together.
