ABHISHEK
Everyone was leaving today, which meant Aish is also leaving.
After our conversation that happened while returning from street shopping, I tried to make things work between me and Aish, but the girl is just so stubborn.
Last night I even spent five freakin' hours to explain what she means to me and how we can actually make it work, but she does not want to try. Instead, she ran back to her room saying she does not want to talk about it anymore.
Honestly, I'm so angry and frustrated.
The girl can see I'm head over heels for her but still tries hard to get. I'm just so done with all of this.
I've tried my best to explain things to her, but she does not want to understand anything. I'm not going to run behind her now. Let her do whatever the fuck she wants to do.
I looked down at my wrist and saw the bracelet she bought for me.
I raced to her room, knocking it before opening the door.
"It's open, come in." Her voice came from inside.
I entered the room and noticed she was alone in the room. After closing the door behind me, I walked upto her.
She kept looking at me until I reached her.
Taking the bracelet off my wrist I tried handing it back to her, but she pushed my hand back to me.
"Ab-"
"No, I don't want it. It would remind me of you, and that's the last thing I want." I said, a bit too harsh and rude.
She looked a bit taken aback by the tone of my voice.
"What's wrong with you?" She whispered.
"Oh, like you don't know." I said, anger erupting inside me.
"You make me run behind you like a fucking dog and just behave like nothing is wrong, yeah?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"I didn't ask you to run behind me." She said, calmly.
"I even asked you to stop trying 'cuz I know I'd never agree." She added.
"God, I can't believe you." I said, totally frustrated.
I breathed out and looked at her.
"So, this is it, huh?" I asked her.
"Yeah, this is it." She sighed.
"You always give me a philosophical talk, yeah? I'll give you one today." I said, grabbing both her upper arms and pulling her closer.
"Let me tell you about people who love deeply." I stated.
"They are wells of feeling; they do not know how to turn their hearts off, do not know how to stop giving, and though this is the most beautiful aspect of who they are, it's also the most fatal, for people who love deeply also hurt deeply." I said, looking into her eyes.
"See, people who love deeply always lock the hurricane, that is, their soul, into the wrong ribcages. They spill out into the bones of people who were only ever hoping to be a temporary home. In my case, it's you." I continued.
"People who love deeply have a hard time leaving because they can never quite convince themselves that they need to walk away from someone they know they can love till no extent. They will never stop trying to love someone into their potential.
And this is why, people who love deeply hurt the most. The thought of someone leaving when they still had so much left to give haunts them. Even if the love was wrong, to them, no amount of loving is a waste. They live to give!" I exclaimed."They are human beings that don't quite make sense to most. They are the few genuine souls who give selflessly, but that does not mean you get to take advantage of that.
No, if you don't respect that, if you do not know when to stop taking, and when to start loving them despite their inability to ask for that love, do not drink from the well of their hope. Do not be selfish with their heart. Do not, and I repeat, do not fucking ruin them like the others, Zaisha Kapoor." I said, looking into her eyes, with regret of falling in love with her and nothing else. She stood there, looking at me, when I left her arms.
Keeping the bracelet on the bed, I walked towards the door.
Before walking out of the room, I turned to look at her.
"I remember when you meant nothing, absolutely nothing to me. I wasn't aware of your existence, but now you're the reason I stay up till 4 a.m, thinking about you. It's bizarre how a person could mean nothing to you, but in a matter of hours, days, weeks or months, they could mean the world to you, even if they make your heart drown in a sea of regret and leave a hurricane of bittersweet memories behind."
