Enterprise x Belfast
Warnings: Depression, brief hints at self harm
A/N: Sequel to "Blue Skies Smiling at Me."

Belfast watched the Eagle Union carrier eat. She rarely could get her to do that of her own accord, but for some reason Enterprise really loved those ration bars. That was about the only thing she would eat on her own. Belfast thought about what had just transpired. Enterprise had never really cried in front of her, like really cried. She had shed a tear before, but had never actually let herself cry. Belfast felt honored that the Grey Ghost trusted her enough to be vulnerable in front of her. Belfast thought for a moment, trying to remember the last time Enterprise had been so, well for lack of a better term, human. It was rare, and she could only think of a handful of times. The one that stuck in her mind though was the first time she and the white haired American kissed.
(Flashback)
Red Axis had been disbanded, and the coalition was tentatively back together. Belfast was being kept busy trying to ready the naval district for the arrival of the Sakura Empire and Iron Blood ships. The base was electric with anticipation. Some were ecstatic, like Prince of Wales, to see their former adversaries, while others, like Quincy, were petrified. Queen Elizabeth had asked Belfast to help in getting rooms set up. The first group of Red Axis ships were arriving today. She was now waiting at the docks in order to show said new arrivals to their rooms. The shapes of their hulls appeared out of the morning haze as two large carriers, a battleship, a heavy cruiser, and several destroyers pulled into harbor. Belfast recognized most everyone, Shokaku and Zuikaku the carriers, Bismarck the battleship, and though she didn't get a good look at the cruiser, considering she was now locked in a passionate kiss with Prince of Wales told her that it had to be Prinz Eugen. Most of the day went by without a problem, Belfast showed the two cranes to their rooms, and she assumed Eugen made her way to either her own room or Wales' room. Bismarck had gone off to find Hood, presumably for strategy meetings or something, but Belfast was quite certain that this was merely a ruse. By the time Belfast was finished it was nearly dinner time, but she decided against trying to persuade Enterprise to join her in the mess, instead she collected two meals and headed up to the carrier's room to eat in. She knocked on the door, she heard the sound of a drawer slam shut before the door swung open, and there stood Enterprise. She looked tired.
"Good evening miss Enterprise." Belfast greeted.
"Hello Belfast." Enterprise said quietly. "What's all this?"
"Oh this, this is dinner." Belfast said as she walked in the room. "I figured that it would be easier to get you to eat here rather than try to persuade you to join me in the mess hall, and considering the busy day I had, easier was the more preferred option." Enterprise chuckled a little as the light cruiser entered the room and placed the two plates on the desk.
"Help yourself miss Enterprise." Belfast said. Enterprise walked over and picked up one of the plates.
"Thanks." She said. Belfast noted that her eyes were glassy.
"Is something the matter?" Belfast asked.
"Hmm, oh no, it's nothing." Enterprise said. "I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" Belfast said, sitting next to the carrier on her bed.
"I guess." Enterprise sighed. "I don't know."
"Do you want to talk about it?" Belfast asked.
"I'm not sure I can." Enterprise said. "I'd hate to disappoint you."
