The drive way was already filled with cars, Jason and Mike stepped out of theirs and started walking towards the big house.

Jason's fingers were caressing the small box between his hands.
The shop didn't have a lot but this braslet caught his gaze.
It was simple black with two tiny cuffs in the middle of it, the word freedom was written on each one of the cuffs, he had no idea why he chose this specifically, he just couldn't imagine her playing with a doll.

Jason knocked on the door and Jasmine, Rose's mother opened it.

"Hey boys." She greeted them loudly through the loud music coming from inside the house.

She stepped forward and hugged the both of them.

"Where's the birthday girl?" Mike asked excitedly as they walked inside the house and Jason rolled his eyes, if you only knew, Jason thought to himself following Jasmine to the garden.

"She's out there....on the phone." Her hand fell to her side, she spent a lot for this party, she wanted her daughter to have the best birthday ever, but she can't help the wave of sadness that crossed her when she saw her like that.

Mike rubbed gently her back and smiled down at her.

"Where is Rob?" Of course Mike being the perfect host he changed the subject."

"Oh, he's at the kitchen getting a strong drink, come with me and have a glass." Jasmine invited him then looking over at Jason.

"I'm gonna give Rose this and I'll catch up with you later." He waved the small box in front of her and she put her hand on her chest dramatically as her pink lips curled into a bright smile.

"That's so sweet of you." He tried his best to return the smile but he failed.
Luckily Jasmine didn't push it and went to the kitchen followed by Mike.

He stepped on the green grass looking around him for the familiar faces.
Most of his great family are here, he didn't remember having all of these people in his birthday when he was in the age of Satan's daughter, in fact, he remembers very well his 9th birthday because no one came, the garden in the back of their house was empty, he felt so sad at first but then he smiled when he saw Jake bringing all of their toys and stuffed animals and placing them on the empty tables and he stand beside him and his mother as he blew the candles, it was the best birthday he ever had.

"I'm so glad you could make it." The voice of his mother brought him back from his deepest thoughts.

"Yeah." He said quietly and the smile on his mother's face faded.

"What's wrong?" Concern is clear in her tone.

"Nothing really, it's just some problems with work." He told her which was the truth...well, half of it.

She smiled at him again and pushed his hair off his forehead, it was something she's always do.

"Alright then, I have to go to the kitchen and help the servers." She told him and dismissed herself.

He looked at the white table, 10 feet away from him.

Rose was wearing a red t-shirt with not yours written on it, ripped black jeans and black Vance, is she really nine?

Once she noticed his figure getting closer to her the first thing she did was digging her phone into her jeans' pocket and roll her eyes.

"I don't remember inviting you." She rudely remarked turning her head towards him, "I mean after what happened the last time we met,I thought you'd be gone for good." She chuckled to her self as she uncrossed her legs then crossed them again.
