The perfect fit

Date Night

It was a mid summer evening, warm outside but not too hot. I was in my room getting ready and thinking to myself. *his eyes are so cute! And his hair is so soft! His smile, oh his smile.. it's just so...*
"Emily!! it's time to go are you ready??" Oh yea, I'm going to Ricky's house! I took one last look in the mirror and then headed downstairs. I put on my vans and headed out the door and into the car. On the way over I was listening and singing to the radio. "Are you nervous?" my mom asked me. "No, not too much."

Once we got to his house the nerves were going through my like crazy! I started to get out very slowly, but luckily his mom had just walked outside to greet us. She led us inside and chatted with my mom for a couple of minutes. I saw Ricky and started walking towards him where he lead me downstairs. We started to play pool for a little while, and of corse I was losing. But of corse the gentleman he is, Ricky let me win. Well the first time that is. After the first game and went over and set down my jacket. I was still a little nervous but he was there, so it was okay. Then all of a sudden I felt his arms around my waste as he hugged me from behind.
"Is this alright?" he asked.
"Yes." I said with a huge smile on my face. We flipped on the tv and played another round of pool before doing something else. That time he won and I just rolled my eyes at him.

Eventually we went upstairs into a room to watch a movie. Once we agreed on the movie he turned off the lights. Everything was perfect.
"Emily, I love you."
"I love you too"

We sat there watching the movie and playing around being mean to each other like usual. His arms were around me, keeping me warm and we both had the biggest smile on our faces. I had butterflies in my stomach and I was so happy. Then all of a sudden we both looked at each other and then I felt his lips on mine. His soft, smooth lips. The kiss didn't last too long only maybe a second or two. But that was alright. We kept on with the movie until it was over.

We chose another movie because we had almost an hour left. I had never seen it before but I wasn't paying attention. I was looking at him and he was smiling back. That perfect smile with his braces showing.. I couldn't help but smile back. We looked at each other for what seemed like forever then finally he kissed me again. This time it was a little bit longer and it was good too. I was so mesmerized by his warmth at that moment that I forgot it was almost time to go, and I was tired. I was slowly falling asleep in his arms when...
"Ricky, Emily's mom is here"
"Okay mom!"
He looked at me and said "I had fun."
"So did I"
" We should do this again"
"Agreed"
And then we hugged and walked out together after he kissed me on the forehead. His parents talked to my mom for a few minutes and I stood there tired, I had had a volleyball game that day. And they were talking about it and about the championship game that we had in 2 days. I looked at Ricky and smiled, he smiled back and winked. Then my mom lead me out the door and we drove home.

When we got home I right away went to my room and texted Ricky

I had fun tonight..

And then I put my iPod down and turned off the lights. I drifted off to sleep replaying the whole night and thinking about his adorable smile. I love that smile. I love him.
