Steven had been back for a few days now, and the gems had needed to go on missions for a few days now. But they ignored the need, and wouldn't let Steven out of their sight, not even to go to the bathroom. After some irritated words from him, followed by some reassuring ones, the gems finally agreed to go on missions again...as long as one of them stayed behind to watch Steven. So Garnet and Pearl went off to catch a corrupted gem, and Amethyst stayed behind to keep an eye on Steven.

Steven was sitting on the couch, growing more and more annoyed at how close Amethyst was. "Amethyst! I'm fine! You can go join the others, I'm not going back to space." The purple gem scooted closer. "Nah Ste-man...Garnet said to keep an eye on you." She explained as she made one of her eyes stretch out until it was almost touching him. "Eew...Amethyst...come on! It's been three days now. I need some...space...maybe that's not the right word. I'm going to go up to my room...and play some video games...DON'T FOLLOW ME!"

*snore* He looked over to where she was sitting, and grinned when he saw that she was out cold. Finally! Some time to himself. He settled on the bed and put in "Go-Go Crying Breakfast Friends Rally Racers". He was scrolling through the characters when he saw "balling boiled egg". He shot up, realizing what he did. "OHMYGOSH! I forgot about that gem!" He leapt out of bed, slid off of the ledge, and onto the couch, shooting Amethyst into the air. "Woah! Hey! What's the big idea?!" She looked at Steven who was sprinting towards the temple, and she quickly followed suit.

In a mountain range:
Garnet and Pearl had finally tracked down the corrupted gem, and were in the process of poofing it. Pearl vaulted herself into the air as a massive yellow ram attempted to slam into her with its thick, curled horns. It missed her and crashed into a tree, knocking it over. It shook its head and turned towards the two gems for another try. "Pearl! I need to go back to the house, can you handle this on your own?" The pale gem shot a confused look in her direction. "Is everything alright?" A wave of energy shot out from Garnet's gauntlets as she caught the charging ram by the horns. "I had...a future vision.." she tried to get the words out as she wrestled for control with the huge beast. "Rrrrrruuuuhhh." She growled as she picked up the ram by the horns, flung it over herself, and slammed it onto the ground. "...there's a gem at the house, can you handle this or not?" "Of course." Pearl confirmed. "Good." And with that, Garnet ran to the warp pad.

Back at the temple:
"What's going on?" She questioned. Ignoring the quartz's question, he ran to the other side of his cloud covered room. "Room, I need to get to Garnet's room!" He shouted as he jumped down the pole that the room provided. Once he reached the fusions room, he gracefully landed on his feet, and then located the rose bubbled gem. "Steven! What are we doing in here?" She asked him, skepticism in her voice. "Phew, she made it." He grabbed the bubble and floated back to the ground. "Who the heck is that?" Steven walked over to Amethyst and showed her the bubble as they both left the temple. "While I was on homeworld, The Diamonds had this gem...and they were really mean to her. She tried to get away, but Yellow Diamond poofed her...so...When I escaped...I  kinda took her gem and sent it here...so she could be safe. You should have seen her...she was so sad." Amethyst's eyes grew "You took a gem that directly belonged to one of The Diamonds?!" Steven squinted and lifted one of his fingers into the air. "Welllll...technically I freed a gem that belonged to...all of The Diamonds.  The shapeshifter put her hands on her head "Ooooohhhhhmygosh! We have to tell Garnet when she gets back!!"

They turned when they heard the warp pad activate. "Tell me what?" Their leader interrogated. The curly haired boy repeated the story to her, and showed her the bubbled gem. "So you see...we have to help her. We should let her out." Garnet knelt down beside him, and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Steven, I know you mean well, but we don't know anything about this homeworld gem. She could be dangerous." Steven got puppy dog eyes as he looked up at the fusion. "But she's not...I know it. She was just sad and scared...she tried to get away." "When Pearl gets back, we will all talk about what we want to do, but until then, she stays in the bubble. "Fine." He grumbled and tripped as he took a step. He was saved by a familiar gloved hand...but inhaled as he felt the bubble slip from his reach.
