It was because of dancing that she felt alive,
It was who she was and so it became her passion
every step she made you can see her vision.
She dances with every beat she hears,
and her body moves in rhythm
It was the only thing that defines her.
But as she grew up
she no longer knows how to dance
like every beat is just a memory that cannot be forgotten
she lost the rhythm for she was deaf with sadness and pain.
It was those people she cared for and trusted the most that drowned her.
It was "life" that made her miserable.
and it was growing up that failed her.
She grew up leaving the things that defined her,
every chance she had was wasted.
She followed what other people wanted her to be,
It was like choosing between what you love or how to be loved.
and now she realized, all this time
Chances were wasted
Beats were lifeless
Rhythms were fading.
Yes, she grew up
but her passion didn't.
Growing up taught her one thing,
that time, people, and life changes.
but deep within you lies who you really are.
"If growing up means forgetting who I am,
and leaving what I am."
She stared into the sky and whispered,
"Then, I don't want to grow up"
