I'm Fairly in Trouble

I went to the State Fair with dad and while I was walking with him I told him that I was hungry. He told me that he wasn't going to buy me anymore food so I was disappointed. I told him I had to use the bathroom when really I went off and stole a corn dog. After I did that I got distracted by a hotel that was close to the fair. The hotel was more wide than tall and most of the lights were behind the check-in counter. I got my room key and went off to the elevator. However the elevator malfunctioned after I tried to open it so I decided to give up and leave. Dad caught me since he stood outside the doorway. He was pissed off with me so we went home and also it was dark outside. We didn't go straight home, instead we had to pick up the rest of the family from a restaurant. When we got there dad told them what I did and then they all got onto me. I didn't want to argue because I was afraid of making them more upset so I was quiet during the drive home.
