Sonic's Birthday Bash!

Part 3: Birthday Morning!

The next day went by pretty much the same: Sonic was out with Amy again, Monty and everyone else got the rest of the stuff for the party and they also got some gifts. Then, Monty went him and had to go to bed. The next day, Monty woke up earlier than usual. He seen that Sonic wasn't up yet so he decided to make him some special birthday breakfast. He went up to the cabinets and got some flour and stuff to make waffles. He then looked in another cabinet and found a BIG bowl. Then he got a BIG spoon and he put all of the ingredients in the bowl. Then he put some water in it and stirred it up to make batter. Next, he got a waffle maker in the shape of a hedgehog's head. Then, suddenly he had another idea. He went to one of the other cabinets and got out some food coloring. Then, being careful not to get any on his hands, he squirted some into the bowl and mixed it into the batter. Then he poured a little into the waffle maker. After he finished making the waffles, he put them on three plates so that he, Sonic, and Amy could have some. Then he went to wake up Amy and Sonic.

He shook Sonic's arm softly and said, "Sonic. Sonic! It's time to get up." Sonic slowly opened his eyes, groaned, and rolled over, facing the other side of the bed. "Sonic! It is your birthday and I have something waiting for you downstairs!" When Sonic didn't get up at that, Monty jumped up on the bed and shook Sonic. "Sonic! You need to get up!" 

"Fine." Sonic grumbled, sitting up on the bed.

"Why do you look all sad Sonic?" asked Amy. "It's your birthday!"

"Your right! It is!" Sonic says.

Monty nods his head up and down vigorously and says, "Hurry!" Then he slides off of the bed and runs back downstairs. A little bit later, Sonic and Amy walk downstairs and go into the kitchen. Amy starts to pour her and Sonic a cup of coffee while Sonic stares at all of the stuff on the table. 

"Did you make all of this!?" asks Sonic.

Monty nods his head. "Do you like it?"

"Monty - I love it!" He runs over to Monty and gives him a big hug. Then they start to eat. After they are done eating, Monty pulls Amy aside.

"Hey Amy, could you do me a favor?"

"Yeah, sure Monty. What do you want me to do?"

Monty whispers in Amy's ear and says, "Could you distract Sonic until 6:00 tonight? We want to set up a surprise party for him."

"Yeah, I can do that!" Then she says, "Hey Sonic! Do you want to do something with me today?"

"Yeah I do! Monty, would you be fine staying here until we come back?"

"Yeah I would Sonic!" Sonic goes over and puts his shoes and jacket on and heads out with Amy.
