Senior year. It's what Adriana waited for her entire academic career. It was the year in which she would apply to colleges and for scholarships, while attempting to balance her social life, grades, family and overall enjoy her last year of high school.

And it was looking good for Adriana, she had spent her summer getting extra activities to put on her resume like a missionary trip and even doing a lot of local volunteer work for her community. She had also written all of her college essays and had them proofread by many prestigious people her family knew. And she had been preparing to retake the SAT and ACT tests to land an even better score than she currently had (which were already good).

She had taken both tests twice and managed perfect scores on all of them. She then participated in all sorts of school athletics. Cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, track, and cross country. Starting varsity of course. She was also her student body president. And president of several other clubs in her school, all while still securing the spot of valedictorian. So many would consider that she had a good run at highschool.

Most people are nervous on the first day of school, Adriana on the other hand, was beyond excited to get started so she could get the hell out of there.

Walking through the front doors there were already kids there even though school didn't start for another hour. There were art kids sitting on the floor working on a back to school banner to hang in the lobby, cheerleaders rehearsing for the first-day pep rally, and the rest of student council gathered to welcome everyone back as more and more kids started to arrive.

"Adriana!" Adriana's best friend slash vice president slash co-captain Chloe yells. Getting hers and everyone else's attention. Adriana grins. She hugs the girl as if they hadn't seen each other in years. They had seen each other yesterday.

"Chloe!" Adriana yells. Making the scene bigger than it had to be. They cheer and jump in together

"WE'RE SENIORS!" They exclaim.

"There's a football game after school, are you cheering?" She asks.

"I don't think so. I have SAT prep." Adriana insists

"Adriana! You're team captain, and that means you can't spend every weekend prepping for something that's in four months-" Chloe rants.

Adriana loses her when he passes by. Justin Bieber. The schools "bad boy." Someone who Adriana steers clear of.

He looks at the girl up and down, then smirks with a little wink. Adriana rolls her eyes to show she wasn't interested. And he keeps walking down the hall. Adriana comes back to reality and looks back at Chloe. She was silent.'Shit did she just ask a question?' Adriana thinks

"What? sorry." Adriana says

"Ugh, never mind" Chloe complains. "Let's go." She says hooking their arms together as they stroll down the hall to class.

They sit down at their desks and listen to the teacher rant for 45 minutes about the syllabus and what to expect out of the class and finishing with a minilecture. After that class, Adriana follows the remainder of her schedule consisting of various classes, lunch, and even more classes until the final bell rang.

Adriana decides to skip her SAT prep and cheer with her team. She was captain after all and it was her responsibility to be at every practice and performance. The girls scurry to the locker room and change from their crop tops, leggings, and Ugg boots into matching short blue skirts, and very cropped long sleeve shirts.

The girls then made their perfect high ponytails and tied giant bows around the band. For makeup they applied gold and blue glitter onto their eyes and drew little hearts on their cheek with eyeliner. On the other cheek some of the girls wrote their boyfriend's football number. They obeyed the tradition that the cheerleaders would date the varsity football stars and junior varsity players were reserved for the "other girls."

But Malcolm Hazen was saved for Adriana. He was the quarterback. One to go down in the record books for being this schools closest thing to a superhero. He was the first in this schools history to take team captain his junior year and won the state championships with a broken collarbone. He had football scholarships to colleges across America. He was the guy that every girl wanted and every guy wanted to be. It was assumed that the two would end up together eventually. And to everyone's surprise, Adriana wasn't interested, school always came before guys.

As the game was about to start the girls went out on the field and created a hallway of cheerleaders that led from the boy's locker room all the way to the field. Chloe and Adriana were at the end of the hall and held the banner with the school mascot, a Warrior, painted across it.

When kickoff was a few minutes away the guys came running down the hallway ripped the paper in half. The girls then shook their pom-poms poms and began cheering. Generating an intense roar from the crowd.

Adriana was brought up eight feet in the air, along with two other girls during the cheers and they managed to keep the audience hyped.

The game started. The girls continued to do their job and kept the crowd interested by doing various cheers and stunts.

The game ended with the Warriors winning by a landslide. They all celebrated, leading all of the teenagers to Carols. A local diner where everyone hung out.

As they entered Justin Bieber was there, with his friends. He looked at the girl again, smirking again. Adriana and her friends all walk past him and squeeze into the biggest booth available. Justin and his friends were about to leave when Wilder spoke up.

"Aye! Bieber! Party at Malcome's! You in?" Justin stops and faces us.

"Nah I got better things to do.." Justin says. His hands in his jacket pocket digging around for a cigarette and a lighter

Malcolm laughs, "Ha. Justin Bieber does not pass up pretty ladies and some booze." He says. Gesturing to the women drooling over him.

"I'll think about it." He says before opening the front door to leave

"If I don't see you there, we'll just have to find you on Monday and kick your ass." Malcolm says. Obviously joking. Justin could so easily pound his face in. Justin smirks and leaves. He gets on his motorcycle and brings it to life. He reves the engine. He gives Adriana one last grin before he speeds away.
